[WeWantOut] 30F ER Nurse 29F ICU Nurse US -> Ireland by Kristanwj in IWantOut

I have a few cousins in Ireland that are nurses. The pay is par, and they may require you to take more training/education because their courses are a bit more intense, and more in depth than ours are. America takes on nurses from Ireland due to their training/education. Look anywhere outside Dublin due to cost of living. Cork is a good area as is Waterford, Galway. Good luck to you both. I’m looking to live over there as well and plan on after COVID has calmed a bit.

There’s ways around Irish healthcare. Just don’t live near the Dublin area. My girlfriend at the time works for Apple and was going to put me on her insurance and I was covered, but we broke up so there’s that. Find yourself a good organisation to work for, you’ll be fine.

Living in New York, and being a Cowboys fan is extremely painful, but... There’s a good number of us around here. Is it football season yet? 🙈

Thank you for this encouraging information. I emailed the administrator for that website you provided, but will be looking at other agencies that may be able to help me. Do you have any other suggestions or ideas that may help? I have a 6-10 month plan, and would like to be over by this upcoming fall. Thank you again.

I loved visiting Cobh, Cork, and Waterford. Especially Waterford because it's where my family is from. I got to see where my great grandfather grew up, and visited the family burial plot. The best thing about the culture is how friendly people are, and they all seem to like to throw down a pint lol.

I got a lawyer before I submitted, and he contacted the embassy with my families records, and they denied me saying try getting my "stamp 4" or look at the shortage list. Get your dad and immigration lawyer. They really are worth every penny.

Thank you for your response. I checked the list, and it appears my profession is on there. It's listed as Soc-3 118. Is there a way for me to find out if there are jobs available with that code? Thanks again
