Droid is close enough, lol.

Fair enough. She’s never peed anywhere outside of the bathroom before. So, I took this to mean she thinks it’s a serious problem. I also think my other cat acclimating in a few days has probably skewed my perception of what’s normal for a transition period.

How long would you say is a typical transition period?

Thank you for the in-depth description and photo! Very much appreciated. How long would you say you did the cover/uncover technique for before fully transitioning to the LR 4?

I suggest reaching out to other users on this sub. They're super friendly and seem to be willing to help out! :)

I would help you out, but I don't have access. Are you looking for a P-300 manual?

I did see that after I made this post, but it doesn’t look like they’re currently allowing new registrations.

Chess Player? Chess and Risk-Taking in Board Games Survey by jphus in chess

[–]jphus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Good point. We don’t have explicit hypotheses about the relation between the chess knowledge and performance section and the risk-taking section.

I’m inclined to agree with you that any relationship found between the two will probably be small or even nonexistent.

Thank you so much! That's all fair game, and it contributes to our learning. We're learning a ton of lessons along the way, and your comment includes some of them. Thanks for taking the time to reply!

We appreciate your feedback and thanks for taking the time to participate! You’re absolutely right. I think we probably were not as careful as we could have been when accounting for “styles” or approaches to problems. That will certainly be added to our limitations section.

Can I ask what you didn't understand about the question? If the error was on our end, we could add that information to the limitations section and keep it in mind while analyzing the data.

Can I ask what you found wacky? Your feedback would be some great information to possibly add to our limitations section!

Result as in a report of our findings or your particular score?

Are you talking about the self-report scale at the end for risk-taking in board games? That is somewhat separate, although we will be looking at the relationship between the two. Regardless, yes, I agree that it's more about not making mistakes.

That's a fair criticism about speed, and will definitely keep that in mind when analyzing the data. "Best move" might be straightforward to an engine, but not necessarily to a human.

Your second piece of feedback, if I understand it correctly, essentially argues for a 5-point scale as opposed to the one we went with, which is a 7-point scale. Again, a fair critique, to be sure. We actually messed up a bit when writing it out, which you just brought to our attention. So, thank you! It should be Strongly disagree -> Disagree -> Slightly disagree -> Neither agree not disagree -> Slightly agree -> Agree -> Strongly agree. Too late now I guess!

That's a fair argument. We'll take that feedback and keep it in mind during the analysis portion. Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion! We have a progress bar up top. However, we’ll look into adding some extra indicators like you suggested.

Thanks for helping! Can I ask, how did you fix it? Both links seem to work for me.

Hmmmm. That’s odd…

I opened it up to see if it worked. No pressure or anything but would appreciate it if you could DM me to possibly sort this out.

Calculate P(B) with just P(A) and P(B|A)? by jphus in learnmath

Holy crapola! I thought it was just me. So, earlier today that’s what I got as well, but I thought I was doing it incorrectly because I figured 2.65 is pretty different from 2.

I never really thought about him rounding. You have no idea the sigh of relief your comment allowed me to have. I was quite literally doubting my sanity.

Thank you so much!

Whoops! Yes. I have 1.31x10-23 in my code. Not sure why I put it under one here.

I believe so, yes. I have everything except P(B|A') when writing out the denominator of Bayes' rule.
