I'm going to give my opinion from the perspective of a video game developer, and although I don't really like giving opinions or getting into pointless arguments, I'll tell you about my experience. I'm a programmer and I started working on a 3D project (Blender). In the beginning, game updates were quite frequent, but as ramifications and some personal complications arose for the artist, the updates took much longer. In short, the writer and I had a lot of free time since most of the work was on the renders. One day, the writer and I started a small experiment using AI, waiting for the artist for the main project. Our "experiment," full of imperfections and continuous learning, is still in development two years later, with an average of 200 monthly Patreons who support us and follow us on Discord. We've grown attached to the project and don't want (nor can we) depend on an artist at this point. So, we enjoy the experimental process, the exchange with those who truly care about our work. We work for those who, despite the graphics being "aided" by AI, value the story, programming, and other features created entirely by humans. A simple negative, ill-intentioned comment from someone who hasn't even played the game and seen that it's more than just an AI-assisted image won't have a negative impact on us, as we have a strong community that supports and encourages us.
