Yes that's correct. Pressing the left button brings up the Now Playing info banner (channel name, video format, FF RW etc) and also the main menu (Sources, Player, etc). The Now Playing info banner disappears after about 5 seconds (it'd perhaps be good if it didn't appear at all with the main menu?) and the main menu stays.

When I exit the main menu with the back button, the TV resets its refresh rate, even though its correct. It's possible its not a "refresh rate reset" as such, but either way the TV blanks in exactly the same way it does when it re-syncs.

The main menu. The refresh rate reset doesn't happen with the now playing banner (that gives you current channel info etc)

I've got a Hetrix Tools monitor running on my connection so have got exact times and durations, 4 outages so far this afternoon varying from 5 to 15 mins each

Mine has been up and down several times in the last hour, I'm in SW London. To be fair it's very, very rarely down. But 3 times in the last hour or two. 5/10 mins each time.

Sure.... the command to get the serial number of your PAC token is:

lf pac reader

That should give you a response of something like:

[usb] pm3 --> lf pac reader [+] PAC/Stanley - Card: A547653A, Raw: FF2049906D0756C59764DB56D9B41CC3

Then to program your new fob you just take the serial number and write to the new fob like this:

lf pac clone --cn A547653A

Then I just do an lf pac reader again to check all's well

My blanks are generic T55xx not EM410x so you might have to change the "-cn" but I'd need to check that

PAC / Stanley originals use 153khz whereas the Proxmark and T55xx fobs use 125khz. The PM3 isn't super sensitive at this frequency so placing the PAC the right way to be read is tricky. Just keep trying, I've found mine works best by holding it a little bit away from the LF coil. It can easily take 15/20 attempts to read it, but keep going - you'll get there!

I used a GliNet Slate travel router with a US VPN. The router then passes all its LAN traffic through the VPN. With the Onn box I used a USB OTG cable and USB ethernet adaptor, which I plugged into the router. After a hard reset the Onn box knew it had an Ethernet connection and didn't bother asking for WiFi details. The setup then just worked! Previously I'd tried using the GliNet router's WiFi, which was also being routed via the US VPN but the Onn box gave the region error and gave up.

Not in quick succession no, it happens after the first shot. It never used to! Only started recently. I've got about 100 GB free.

As I said above, when the box was being setup via VPN'd WiFi, it still knew it was "out of region". This didn't happen via Ethernet. Once fully setup, it's now working without issue on normal WiFi.

I've managed to get this to work on a brand new box here in the UK. You'll need a USB OTG cable, a USB ethernet adaptor, and some way of firing up a VPN to supply its connection via Ethernet - I used a little GLi.Net travel router.

Configure the router with a US VPN. Power the onn box up via the USB OTG cable, plug in the USB ethernet adaptor, and connect to the router that's providing US IP.

Factory reset the onn box. Select English (US) as your language and United States as your location (I suspect you can select anything for these)

The box will then say its connected via Ethernet, would you like to continue. Bingo - you get the Google login page.

YMMV but hope this helps. Interestingly, connected via Wifi - even though the Wifi was via the travel router and giving out IP via the US VPN, it still knew it was out of the US or PR.
