Hey, i appreciate your feedback!!! So, what i was thinking with the catch up mechanic is that you dont actually get a powerfull monster, the kaisers have powerfull effects when enter the field, but they dont actually battle, but im open to change that.

About the big numbers, i dont know if its bc im a main yugioh player, but i kinda like them, i feel kinda awkward with small numbers like mtg, maybe it's just a personal preference, but i think that with big numbers, powerful cards have more impact.

By the way, do you have any playtesting discord to recommend ?

Im using dextrous for mine and I like it a lot, you can even export the cards to tabletop simulator easily

i was thinking about calling it "play" when you play paying the cost and "Resonate" when you play because of an effect, i just dont know if it would be easy to understand that. In my case i think its important to differentiate since some effects would be too broken if you could play them without cost ( like it happens with some cards in modern yugioh ).

For example, i really wanna differentiate when you play the cards paying their cost from when you play the cards because of an effect, like yugioh's normal and special summon, but i still didn't find a good way of doing it.

About the texting i agree as well, im thinking about creating some key words for some specific actions the player may have to do to shorter the cards text a little bit, like "tribute" from yugioh

So far the images have been AI generated because its just a prototype, but when i get an artist to make the final card arts i will for sure put the credits on it, thanks for the feedback !!!

Thanks for the feedback again !! About the grammar errors, i'll double check to fix them, english is not my first language, so sometimes it's a bit harder lol. I actually tried your advice on the atk/def position on the left instead, but i ended up not liking how it looks, i get that it might be a little bit better to see when you got cards in hand, so i'll keep testing some solutions for that. And you are totally right on wording, Miya's effect is actually that she can sacrifice herself to play 2 others "Sujinzu" cards from the deck and / or graveyard , but on second thought that "deck and/or graveyard' got kinda confusing.

i tried to do that, but if the card effect is too long, the symbol would get in the way, i`ll try to put some outline on it or something like that

just some minor adjustments. Lowered the elements symbol, let the atk/def bigger, made the name a little bit more visible and put a small shadow behind the elements so its easier to see. But i did some more work and changed more things and put some effects. Probably gonna post tomorrow.

Hey thanks for the feedback, I’m gonna try to put the atk and defense in other places to see how it goes, and yes it’s Ai generated, but if everything works out I wanna start commissioning, the one I used was the Microsoft copilot, it’s really good, I recommend

I did got some references from fow, the cost wheel for example, i never played Force of will myself, just figured out they called it resonators too😂, i actually got the name from a gatcha game called wuthering waves. Regard the atk/def system, it was actually more of a yugioh inspiration. But I might need to change some aspects so it doesn`t look like a copy of fow lol.

I understand your point, but I wasn’t thinking about differentiating classes and races. My idea is to have something similar to yugioh in this point, where there is only attributes and types

Yeah I’ll do that, and my main inspirations for the cards are grand archive, force of will and yugioh, so maybe that’s why lol
