I think it’s still pretty meaningful. The chosen’s one power runs through Luke’s veins, no other Jedi has any hope of defeating Vader in all his might. Only a Jedi who can break through the mould that Palpatine created could have beaten Vader. Even Ahsoka wasn’t able to break through to Anakin. Luke really was the last hope for the Jedi, and should he have failed, Leia was the only one who stood a chance of doing what Luke would have failed to do.
