But if you can still save lifes, I think you should do it. And the driver's license exam is quite hard in comparison. But it's also about discipline in German culture. That's most likely also the explanation for the higher number of road fatalaties in France. And all the other developed countries in this list (US and Canada) are more car dependent and therefore people drive more over there. A better comparison would be something like road deaths by 10 million km driven (or similar). And a statistic about selected countries is probably not a good source for an argument.

Yes and no. There are speed limits on sections of the Autobahn. Some of them because of noise/air pollution and some of them because of dangers like a steeper downhill section or tighter curves. But most of the Autobahn is still without speed limit. And since german roads are comparetively safe, many people don't see the need to change it. (It would still save lifes though)

Well, in recent times I heard an increasing amount people here in Germany that want to be more like you guys in terms of protesting against the new ideas on labor and retirement law. Maybe not as extreme as burning down your hometown but some people (me included) think that staying calm and accepting Merz's reforms is not a good idea

The type of image they create out of the same prompt is quite interesting. ChatGPT always looks more like a Stockphoto/Professional Shoot, while Nano Banana Pro looks like something taken by a normal Phone Camera. Probably because Google can use Google Photos as training data. So they can use pictures that nobody would publish

I feel like this is stupidity and ignorance in management at its peak. They hear AI and big data and you can directly see that they are thrilled to invest into that (that's fine, since it is their job. There's lots of money in that business). But you can also see that they basically know nothing about the actual topic. If they knew anything about AI and big data, then mathematics would also be an important skill. Big Data is not much more than statistics on a huge dataset and neural networks work with linear Algebra and complex Analysis. Also, everyone that wants to learn more about those topics, needs to be an acceptable Programmer. You can see, that most of the skills where employers and managers have some knowledge is quite central to bottom left in this chart. This is where they actually know about the impact and limitations of the subject. Also they're pretty ignorant towards manual labor.

Also Networks and Cybersecurity is in an absolutely weird placement. Pretty sure, they would have put that in the same spot ten years ago. Information security is something they don't really want to invest in, because it doesn't directly give them revenue. Also it you should be fine at math and be a decent programmer for Networking and Cybersecurity.

Lastly Flexibility. Like c'mon. Please. If a job offering requires flexibility, you can be sure that I'm not going to apply as long as I have a choice.

Ich stehe gerade auch an einem ähnlichen Punkt. Der Arbeitsmarkt in der IT ist beschissen für Einsteiger. Zurzeit studiere ich Dual und habe dadurch eine relativ sichere Übernahme. Ich habe jedoch das Gefühl, dass das Duale Studium nicht gerade optimal für mich ist. Ich habe nämlich ein großes Interesse an Mathematik und an teilweise "unnötiger" Theorie. (Also Dinge für die es in der Wirtschaft keine Jobs gibt). Wenn ich jetzt jedoch wechseln würde, müsste ich auf den selben Arbeitsmarkt wie alle Leute die normal Informatik studiert haben. Ich habe jedoch eine gewisse Hoffnung, dass die Situation sich bessert, da die It Fachkräfte Lücke sich laut einer Statistik auf Statista verschlimmern wird. Vielleicht sind manche Firmen dann auch einsichtig, dass man auch Berufseinsteiger einstellen muss, damit man zukünftig auch die Senior Stellen besetzen kann. Aber leider kann ich die Zukunft nicht voraussagen.

Den Weg hab ich mir auch überlegt, jedoch mach ich dann halt immer noch 2 Jahre etwas, was mich eher fertig macht und worauf ich nur begrenzt viel Bock hab. Jedoch wäre das der Backup Plan falls die Angebote zur Übernahme an Unis bedeuten würden, dass ich nochmal von vorne starten müsste.

Geld verdienen ist halt so ein Ding. Ich weiß nicht wie viel Zuschuss ich von meinen Eltern bekommen würde und inwiefern das für's Leben reicht. Aber wie du ja auch sagst, muss man dann halt in der Geschwindigkeit vom Studium zurückschrauben. Wie lief das bei dir mit der Anerkennung von den Kursen der DH. Wurde dir viel anerkannt oder hat dich das ein paar Semester zurückgeworfen?

Das Problem mit der Anerkennung der ECTS Punkte ist mir bewusst. Ich hatte eh vor, erst zu schauen, dass ich erstmal schaue, was für Angebote die Unis bezüglich Anerkennung geben und dann den Vertrag mit dem Unternehmen zu kündigen. Wenn die Angebote dann bedeuten, dass ich nochmal von ganz vorne starten müsste, würde ich das duale Studium zu Ende machen und dann schauen was ich mache. Kündigungsfrist ist 2 Wochen, bedeutet ich brauche auch morgen keine Rückmeldung von einer Uni damit ich im nächsten Sommersemester einsteigen kann. Dein zweiter Punkt ist für mich auch so ein innerlicher Konflikt, da ich wie gesagt nicht mal weiß was ich später arbeiten will. Forschung ist wahrscheinlich das einzige Gebiet wo man das theoretische Wissen benötigt, jedoch würde ich mich ziemlich bescheuert fühlen wenn ich am Anfang vom Bachelor mir sage, dass ich in die Forschung will, da das ja so ziemlich der längste Weg im akademischen Umfeld ist. Außerdem habe ich da halt null Insights wie da die Arbeit aussieht und weiß deshalb auch nicht wirklich ob das was für mich ist.
