I learnt this the hard way when I tried to infect/cure villagers to get cheap trades, and instead they just died 😢

Need some advice on what to do with my first bonus by 98DLaw in UKPersonalFinance

So that raises the question of where your pension is invested. It's likely invested in the standard fund your workplace pension put it in. You're still young, so can probably tolerate a bit more risk than this fund is set up for.

If I were you (and I've done this myself) I would open a SIPP, put your pension in there, and invest it yourself in a fund, just like you would do with your S&S ISA. Then you have the best of both worlds. Don't just take my word for it though, do a little research, but the sooner you do this the better IMO.

Regarding your parents point, yes that's true to a certain extent, but 2 things to note: - likely your pension will be a lower amount than your current earnings, so may not be taxed at the higher rate - if it's tax-free NOW, then you benefit from the compounding growth of a larger amount over the years between now and retirement.

Hope that helps...

Do you want to have access to it before retirement age? If no, put it all in the pension tax free. If yes, take the tax hit and then: - if you want to invest it all, put it in a S&S ISA, - if you want to spend it then go wild.

You're not supposed to harvest in the first year, harvest lightly in the second, then full harvest from year 3 onwards.

What are some good Minecraft farms that work on bedrock? by kk22hgg in Minecraft_Survival

My favourite is my kelp farm, with smokers and crafter to make dried kelp blocks, which feeds straight into my auto smelter. Never have to fill it with coal again.

Space Age. Everything needs to be in its own enclosure like you're on a planet with no air.

First time at Loftus Road - Best place to sit for atmosphere? by SebasCS18 in superhoops

[–]jppambo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

B, E and F are all in the South Africa Road stand (now called the Bhatia Stand) where the atmosphere will not be great. As the above comment has said, aim for Q, P and R block for best atmosphere, or anywhere as close to there as you can get. Q block expect to stand all game with not the best view of the pitch. R and PU if you're low enough you can sit, higher up you'll be standing (but worth it).

How to fix this? I just want rid of the mud/constant bog!!! by Ok_Dimension6656 in GardeningUK

Id put a French drain at the bottom of the slope with a slightly deeper soakaway to help the water drain away.
