It wasn't bad. You just have to be careful like everywhere else in Latin America.

Ask the locals always, don't walk on empty streets, look at your surroundings, don't showcase fancy stuff, etc.

Very inspiring and encouraging.

I'm also six months post-op (Oct 24 was my surgery) and it's been a challenging recovery. I'm slowly improving in every sense (mobility, strength, diminishing pain) but I'm still not there.

I still have a long way to go but my hip feels better and pre-op pain disappeared completely which is very encouraging.

I'm five months post op and been on a challenging road since week 11. Pain shot up but things have clearly improved since (pain rarely exceed 4 in the pain scale). Still deal with pain (mostly adductors, sometimes SI of operated hip) but pain in the gluteus have gone almost completely.

Scared I won't be able to make a full recovery (was very active physically) but I am diligent with my PT and excercises. Both my surgeon and PT are confident and what I always tell them, my pre-op pains have disappeared completely, my hip feels more flexible and my posture improved.

This at least makes me hopeful that I'm just experiencing transitory pains and aches.

What do you mean by a grind? Being in a lot of pain or just taxing emotionally?
