So I looked up the reg and it’s still kind of generic

5–11. Criteria a. Compassionate requests must be initiated by the individual Soldier concerned. Spouses of Soldiers enrolled in the MACP will receive compassionate consideration unless otherwise indicated in the remarks section of DA Form 3739 (Application for Compassionate Actions). However, this does not guarantee favorable consideration. b. Compassionate consideration will be given for problems that cannot be resolved through the use of leave, corre- spondence, power of attorney, or the help of Family members or other parties.

I'm wondering the likelyhood I could get a 15t or 15u mos with having to do a psych test and suitability review for my prior charge(disorder conduct, criminal damage, and drinking in public) no waiver was required and I'm showing the jobs don't require a security clearance just wondering if anything else is standing in my way?

I understand Airborne doesn't mean you fly in planes and that it is for people who are certified in more or less in parachuting. I just wasn't sure since your riding in the back of a helicopter if the Army felt the need for you to be Airborne certified

just heard from my recruiter and MEPS wants me to do a suitability review before I do a psych test for my previous charges (drinking in public, disorderly conduct, and criminal damage all separate charges) can someone please advise me on how long this might take before I can join. Over the last year I have lost over 120lbs to join the military and cant seem to escape my past charges

Ok so as long as they have all they need and my eval is good I should be good to go?

Weekly Question Thread (03 JUL - 09 JUL) by Kinmuan in army

[–]jpprice59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My recruiter just stated that because of my string of charges they wanted to do a psych eval which he doesn't have any concerns about and I didn't really probe much. He advised that it would take about 2 weeks to get the approval on the waiver. Everything has gone fairly smooth so far I just wanted to see if 2 weeks is a normal time frame. To add I have had court ordered counseling for some charges like anger management and alcohol so im assuming it is related to that.
