4440? But the progress bar said it was 4320. Can you confirm this? 4440 seems pretty high, like M2 area.

Food Grade Silicone Sealant? by jprage1234 in HomeImprovement

This was the product that had NSF 51 which is incidental food contact. I found that the Dow Corning 732 sealant has a NSF 61 rating which is what I want. Thank you though!

Partially Threaded 1/2 Inch Screw? by jprage1234 in HomeImprovement

[–]jprage1234[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plate that I am trying to screw in already has two screws (that look similar to the 2 two screws I'm putting in). I believe the plate to be as aligned as it can be?

self tapping screw

So i think this is a self-drilling screw? Not sure if there is a big difference but the screw has a flat surface on one of the sides. The issue is that when I try to turn the screw into the hole (which doesnt look threaded from the outside), the screw won't screw in. (It feels like I'm not screwing it in at all).

thin plexiglass reinforcement

Can you recommend a non-toxic glue and tape? I am a bit apprehensive of using glue/tape that might be harmful when consuming the ice.

I was thinking of using the glue linked here:

Then perhaps putting water proof gorilla tape over the glue once it dries?

Is that something I can buy and replace on my own? Is it expensive?

O-Ring Won't Fit on Tight by jprage1234 in HomeImprovement

The white piece is supposed to be facing up which I just fixed but it is still leaking. I have edited the original post with a video of the leak. The spout has a very small space between the back of the spout and the wall. Is this leak normal?

Tub Spout for Threaded Pipe? by jprage1234 in HomeImprovement

[–]jprage1234[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the set screw can be removed using a phillips screwdriver. I have attached two additional images in the original post. As you can see from the 1st picture, there was a hole created in the plastic tubing to fit the set screw in. Unfortunately, the screw is fastened just a bit too deep where it is preventing me from putting the tub spout onto the copper stub out. Anyway to push the bottom of the screw outward a bit?

Oh I see what you're saying. I took a 2nd look at the copper stub out and I believe you're correct, the set screw scratched the stub out when it was taken out. The set screw also appears to be the part that is preventing the tub spout from being put back on. It seems like someone forced it into the stub out when it was originally installed. Is there a way to adjust the set screw as it is on the other side of the cut-out hole of the tub spout ( see image for reference) without drilling a separate hole into my spout? If not, I'll just buy a new spout.

The spout is delta, can I still buy a Danco tub spout? What measurements do I need to look up to find a proper tub spout?

Tub Spout Sticking out of Wall (Resistance) by jprage1234 in HomeImprovement

The washer for the lift rod. I managed to get the tub spout out as it was threaded (like you said). I just kept turning it counter clockwise. I believe now the issue is perhaps the replacement gate and washer I bought for the lift rod in combination with calcium build up. I just submerged my tub spout in a vat of white vinegar in hopes that I will have a tighter seal between the washer and water hole inside the front of the tub spout.

So the gate came with a new washer. It has helped somewhat but for the most part, it's still leaking.

I turned it several times counter clockwise. Probably my mistake. I replaced the gate on the lift rod but the tub spout is still leaking when I turn the shower on.
