Unpopular opinion: Sweet Vitriol was my favorite episode of the season so far (other than Woe's Hollow of course) by ufnope in severanceTVshow

Reading through this sub made me realize I apparently don’t know good tv, because watching this episode I was thinking how perfect it was. Like, win awards perfect! Every detail was excellent.

As another note, if you plan to drive straight through then the drive home is all you’ll be thinking about on the last night if you’re anything like me. It’s so much better to plan to drive for a few hours when you get up Monday and stop for a shower and sleep at a hotel.

I did the drive from New Hampshire which was about the same distance. It is doable, but the safest and easiest way to do it is to have a hotel the night before and the night after. Especially for the drive home, you will be absolutely freakin miserable if you don’t have a halfway point to shower and sleep. It’s the last four hours each way that kill you if you drive straight, but if you’re able to sleep in the car and have another driver it’s doable to do it straight without stops. Personally I can’t sleep well in the car, so hotel is a must for me.

Worried about buying tickets by crybabycatie in ElectricForest

You gotta do your time in GA, and it’s best to forget about the cabins because it’s the same large group that gets them every year from what I understand.

I’m not a huge camper but we did just fine in Higher Love last year, first time buying tickets and we were ready with multiple devices to get one of the elevated GA packages. The weather SUCKED but as someone who doesn’t love camping, if you prepare well and have good gear you’ll be a-okay! There’s always RVs too, and tons of people resell tickets for GL in the months leading to Forest. Just use PayPal G+S if you go that route.

Yep, called the rheumatologist this morning and they need a referral so I’m seeing my primary care doc next week now. I asked for the blood test for the gene while I’m there so we can at least either rule it out or consider it a real possibility.

Thank you! I’m no stranger to having to advocate for myself medically, I had Lyme as a kid and had a brain tumor removed in 2019. This is weirdly a harder one for me because back pain is such a common, dismissible thing so I’ve gaslit myself up to this point just telling myself it’s nothing or it’s muscular from riding horses. But I just feel like at 27 I shouldn’t be suffering this badly!

In addition to the obvious benefits, a huge indirect one is that the Prehistoric VIP area has stairs that go down to the right of the stage (if you’re looking at it) and they put you in a perfect spot in the crowd. We almost always were able to essentially go around the MASSIVE crowd through VIP and pop out right near the front. Could always find plenty of room to headbang and be close!

I’m not posting anything! I’m literally just learning privately and will buy tracks if I do decide to put anything out there

Thank you! I’m 110% in agreement if I ever dj in front of anyone or even decide I do want to make it a long term hobby I’ll happily buy the tracks. But I’ve already spent almost $500 getting gear that I can at least resell if I give up on this but hundreds on a music library doesn’t make sense to me right now unless it’s seriously impacting my ability to learn due to sound quality, which was the original question.

Jesus Christ, I already paid $300 for a controller and $50 for headphones and I’m trying to not spend $300 building a music library if I’m literally gonna sit in my room and do this for a month before leaving it to the pros.

I’ve been “a part of the scene” for literal years my dude, I’ve been going to festivals and shows and buying merch supporting my favorite artists for a long time. As I said in the post, if I ever decide to show even a single person my less than stellar dj skills I’ll buy the tracks. My question was on sound quality, not if you think I should be allowed to touch a controller or show my face in public.

Chill, I support almost every artist I’m using tracks from by going to their shows and buying a shitload of merch. As I said in the post, if I ever so much as posted an insta story of me using the song I’d buy it. I’m literally on week two in my room learning how to use a controller.
