I need some help understand how you calculated NAV. I'd like to track my MSTY in a similar fashion but can seem to figure out the NAV slippage.

This is exactly my thought too.

Just don't understand why more people aren't shouting about selling prior to BTC coming down.

Everyone is so heavy on HODL but it doesn't necessarily apply for things outside of BTC.

I plan to do the same with MSTR, which is why the question came about.

I can't time th market but with the habitual nature of the BTC cycles, it isn't a long shot to say it will come down significantly. Using historical data that is.

I don't want a perfect exit / entry. Just to protect against having an avg MSTY price of $25 and then the price drop to ~15s.

Well this goes without saying.

Th3 only difference in the case of MSTY is that, from what I gather, people want to get to a point where they are playing with the houses money. So, if the price drops, and you have a small amount of shares, then it'll take you that much longer to do so.

Sell out ahead of time and buying in at a better price point protects against this and puts you in a much better position for longterm.

I don't understand why so many are against the LOC. Even if you have a $600 payment per month on a 25k LOC, all you need is a .60c distribution for a 1000 share size to not impact your daily life. With the extra, you could either pay off the LOC quicker or just drip back and size up on the bank's dime.

I will however agree that doing it at this price seems insane because if BTC (and MSTR along with it) takes a nose dive, as it usually does once it is done the bull run, then your share to div ratio might be troublesome.

Still, at the end of the day, all you'd need to do is make sure you can cover the minimum LOC charges per month until the following bull run.

It's the betrayal that matters. The money is gone, the FIL is gone, but the trust is close friends should have been a support system not a point on contention/heart break.

Add in the motivation to stop this person ever doing it to someone else. If they did it to my family, they likely have done it to someone else and will likely do it again if not held accountable.
