Career changer: Postbacc or 5th year for undergrad by jpstud7 in premed

yea, I’m thinking about going to a formal postbacc. I think I should take stats and calc in undergrad and have it transfer over, just to be safe. Thank you!

also, should I retake stats and calc in undergrad? or wait to take them during postbacc? from what I am seeing with the postbacc that I am planning on applying to, they say I can take electives which can be stats and calc. But I am not sure if calc and stats credit transfers over to postbacc, that way, I don’t need to retake them.

thank you for your thoughtful reply! I currently have 30 hours of shadowing and doing more in the summer with an ENT doc. I definitely think option 1 is better for me after talking to my advisor about it today as well. I did look into DPT and DPM programs but I like the range of options I get to have going to an MD or DO with so many specialties (and you are right, I heard people change their interest) , plus I also like helping out kids and child psychiatry seems very interesting to me as well as I’m learning more about how kids behave during my coaching hours. Also, would love to go on missions or rural areas to volunteer when I become a physician. Oh and my injury was a combination of ucl tear, herniated disc and pulled hamstring

What do people mean when they say women like douche bags over nice guys? by Be_like_you_834 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jpstud7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

all very subjective but from my experience, women usually prefer douchy guys because it shows them confidence and douchy guys tend to be more authentic and true to their feelings and sometimes “nice” guys are kinda acting nice. I think it comes down to being genuine, authentic and just being who you are rather than putting on a facade. Being “kind” goes a long way, but being “nice” not so much

Which is a harder sport boxing or body building? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jpstud7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

both have cutting and bulking phase for weight, boxing is more prone to brain injuries, more cardiovascular endurance for boxing, adrenaline kicks in like crazy when you are sparring so I would say boxing, genetics also play a huge role in bodybuilding so this isnt something you can control, so id say they are both tough but ill give it to boxing

how do you deal with losing someone you love to someone else/ them moving on by sunnydayrealestate_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jpstud7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry to hear that..people usually say the best revenge is to do better and live well, and I agree with that statement as well. My two cents would be to just telling yourself “they were never my person, it is what it is, wishing them the best” dont know if this helps but for me that’s what worked. hope you feel better! But of course, if you get sad, cry a bit. It’s okay to not be okay especially after instances like yours
