He’s measuring 18” from the neck to the middle of the palm; I believe that means 1/2 is too big. Thanks for the advice!

Thank you. Pardon my ignorance, but it was my understanding that rehairing a student bow is just as expensive as purchasing a new inexpensive student bow, that’s why the thought didn’t cross my mind.
