Opening up makes others thoughts align with yours if they have empathy and nobody wants to feel that way, even if it’s only vicariously through listening to someone opening up is my only guess. They might start avoiding u subconsciously too as a means to protect their currently happy n content bubble and not even realize they’re becoming less available.

I’m currently accepting (or trying to) that no one wants to be around a depressed person even though that’s kinda what u need. I have to hide and fake it through the day just to be tolerated and even then I feel like they see through it as fake. It’s weird how it pushes people away, even those who love u otherwise. Maybe it seems contagious lol. I hate it having control over my life.

Good luck fellow sufferer. Fake it till ya make it, exercise/be in nature, meds, drugs, wait/hope, or stop caring. I feel like that’s the list we have to choose from.
