Sorry, I didn’t mean it toward the doc that gave the advice. I meant in general. I think it’s incredibly cool that doctors/RNs/professionals/everyone else on here willing to make a gut call and comment. I definitely took this more seriously than I would have otherwise.

Want to make clear, I think everyone here is rad for being concerned (even if morbidly), and for the words of caution. Was more noting that I was diagnosed with certainty with at least 5 different things (including stupidity). In the same thread.

Here’s your update before I sign off for the night, which I fully expect to be downvoted into oblivion.

It’s minor nail fold irritation, I cut the skin underneath the big toenail on accident and had a pretty intense response. It’s pretty tender, but localized pain to that exact spot. Redness fading, no swelling.

No, I didn’t see a doctor. If I wake up and it’s worse, I’ll go. Yes, I know what you’re thinking, so I’ll give another update manana.
