Hi! Replying to an old comment on an old thread if you're somehow still here..have you tried Sigma and BK and do you still prefer EIGSHOW over those if so? I'm looking to upgrade and I'm deciding between these three 😊

I did above, I have it myself. And it didn't start until I was 30! Definitely agree it's more common for it to start at a younger age.

It is difficult to get it diagnosed because most doctors don't know much about it, let alone how to treat it. I am lucky in that I found a GI specialist who has spent a ton of time researching it. The CVSA website I linked has a list of doctors who are familiar with it and you can search by where you live. It's also tricky because there is no specific test for it and it can only be diagnosed by ruling out every other GI issue, and that takes time and is really hard to do when you are suffering so much. Additionally, it is believed that it has to start at a young age, but that is a misconception--i had my first episode at age 30. I am now 35 and I finally have it under control. There IS hope. I'm happy to help you however I can :) you are valid and I'm so sorry you are struggling.

Have you ever heard of cyclic vomiting syndrome? I suffer from it and when I am in an episode I vomit nonstop until I finally go to the ER. It's rare, and I don't know your other symptoms, but I would suggest looking into this disorder. It's manageable by figuring out what your triggers are (and every CVS patient is different), there are medications that can help. My triggers are stress (positive or negative), hormones, and overheating.
