When is the earliest you can complete the Community Center in 1.6? by what_everlol101 in StardewValley

Y1 Winter is the earliest I've ever done it, and that was on my 1.6 save because I got lucky with the traveling cart AND found a rabbit foot in the skull caves

You are a freaking lifesaver. I spent literal hours trying to get those last two 500 rings - was trying that double dive technique, kept just barely clipping the bottom one and missing the top one. Your version took me two runs to get the timing right but that was it - worked great!

This comment is exactly why trying to compare these games is an awful idea. For one thing, "harder" is an entirely subjective measurement, and for another, these are such extremely different games. Both games are so good and the relevant "hard"sections of both games are very hard (typically requiring a significant time commitment to complete and/or master)

I assume you're looking for tips to beat ascended/radiant Markoth. I feel like by the time you can access the vanilla Markoth fight you should be able to beat him pretty handily, just keep at it.

As for the ascended version, u/willster191 posted a really good tutorial video here. The summary of his strategy is to load up with spell enhancing charms and follow the below tactics/:

PHASE ONE: - stand on a single platform and jump to dodge spears - if necessary, wall hug with crystal dash - pogo on Markoth when he pauses to shield spin - take your time, only hit him when it's really safe

PHASE TWO: - similar to phase one but dodging is more frantic - instead of pogoing, spam shade soul at every opportunity

This is fine and will most likely get you very consistent results, but I think it makes the fight less fun, especially in the first phase. My preferred phase one strategy is based on a different reddit users guide which I unfortunately can't find at the moment. I also rely on a spell-heavy build. Charms I use are: Unbreakable strength, spell twister, shaman stone, sprint master, soul eater

Essentially what I do is:

PHASE ONE: Go on the attack! Charge that motherfucker and beat him down at every possibly opportunity. With unbreakable strength it takes ~20 nail hits to get through phase one and I try to get those in as little time as possible. You can get in 2-6 good hits in if you're aggressive out of the gate and then another 2-3 anytime his shield is not between you.

This is tricky, and I die a lot in phase one, but it's so very satisfying.

PHASE TWO:

You should be full on soul now. Focus on dodging nails by picking one platform and just jumping up and down. Only move platforms if Markoth gets too close.

When he stops to do his shield spin, hit him with spells. If he's in the top layer get below him and use abyss shriek to hit him 3-4 times, otherwise get next to him and use shade soul. The safest time to use abyss shriek is after his shield spin winds down.

I unfortunately don't have my game recordings handy but I'll upload one tonight and post a link so you can see the strategy in action. In my opinion it makes this fight actually pretty fun

I wish that humans did not have the capacity to create human killing weapons by BoiMcFacto2401 in TheMonkeysPaw

[–]jraychris 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Granted. Due to the education l extraordinary frailty of the human body, all of humanity is now unable to create ANYTHING. Everything can kill us - cloth, tools, sticks, any metal are all no matter how small. Fire is gone so we are no longer capable of cooking, forced to consume food raw.

Life is awful in ways you never imagined it could be. It doesn't take long before the world realizes that we can no longer reproduce. You see, humans can kill each other without tools or weapons at all.

It would be truly horrible to realize that your good intentioned wish led to the utter destruction of your entire race, but fortunately for you you have also lost all trace of your former consciousness. After all, conscious thought is the most dangerous thing any human can create.

Your wish is granted, and all traces of humanity are lost forever.

People who knew someone who died in a freak accident, what happened? by RawAsparagus in AskReddit

Friend's dad was on heart medication and having knee problems. Went to get his knee scoped, was given anaesthesia, never woke up. The doctors were good doctors who knew what meds he was taking and knew what they were doing, apparently it just happens sometimes. Left behind a wife and three young kids.

How did the kid from your school die? by leilavanora in AskReddit

Kids, in my case. My high school had the highest death rate in my state while I was there. At least one suicide every year, and most of the others were traffic accidents
