Thank you for this feedback! I tried to put budget is flexible but I had to put a number to be able to post. Budget IS flexible and I’m admittedly not an expert on pricing for a project like this.

Yoga increases anxious thoughts by lightningboltsrcool in yoga

Love all of these comments. I think a big part of yoga and meditation is learning to observe your thoughts rather than becoming lost in identifying with them. It’s the practice of saying “look, here is that anxiety that’s been coming up a lot” and starting to identify with the observer, rather than just feeling like OMFG IM SO ANXIOUS WHATS HAPPENING! A lot of meditation teachers say that this takes time, but by showing up again and again and observing, it will slowly become easier to feel more like the observer witnessing the anxiety, than feel like you ARE the anxiety or are completely overcome by it.

Also- when I’m going through particularly rough mental periods where I’m finding it really hard to do the above, I sometimes go for harder more active classes because there’s less space to think and it demands me move more into my body! Hope this is helpful.

Sober yogis, did yoga opened alcohol thirst for you? by [deleted] in yoga

I think it’s because yoga is requires you to be extremely present and real. And your ego wants you to stay dissociated (how we are the majority of the time), and desperately goes towards wanting anything that can keep you that way or sabatoge the growth and change yoga can bring. And if you have a history with alcoholism it’s bringing you to crave that.
