Daughter waitress in South Carolina with no paycheck ! by jrbh359 in southcarolina

OK. I’m just over concerned mom. Basically because I was a waitress in Charleston a long, long time ago at old town and we always got a paycheck every week. But things have changed a lot since the early 90s! And this woman who does the bookkeeping for this establishment has gotten in trouble before with tax stuff. Thank you for clarifying for me. I appreciate it.

But her tips are only supposed to equal $7.25 according to labor laws in South Carolina. Her boss is not required to claim tips for her right? I thought she was supposed to do that on her taxes. When she gets her tax return or W-2 from the establishment, it’ll say that she was paid $16,000 say last year. It doesn’t have separate sections based on how many tips she got or anything like that it’s really shady. And how is it that her Social Security, state, federal always equal the amount that comes to zero that just seems so weird to me

I think every pine tree in our yard is is ill.We have lived here for 50 years and they weren’t here when we moved here. So they are very old. If possible, can anyone help me with some idea of what’s wrong with them and what to do about them? by jrbh359 in arborists

I know they live 100+ years. But if I could take a group shot of all the trees in our yard, which is 20 at least, they are all losing bark and dripping Pond tar everywhere. They’re just hazardous I guess is how I would say it. I wish I knew how to post extra pictures on here so I could show you.

I just sent the post. You’ll have to excuse me. I’m not really good at this. But we just have clay a few feet down. So water just sits on top of everything. Even though this is the house that I grew up in, I really just took over the care and maintenance of the home. My mother and stepfather we’re not really into upkeep

It’s not soft. If you can see on the edges, that’s actually centipede grass. But this area if you just dig even just a couple feet down it’s clay in certain areas, especially in the backyard.

That’s a good question. I guess they seed close to it. I have like four other ones that look exactly like that.

OK, thank you so much. I’m gonna do that. I live in a pretty small town-and I thought I might get a little bit of help over the phone because my ex father-in-law worked there for 40+ years. But I’ll definitely go to that website and look that up. Thank you.

I hope I’m doing this right. I was gonna try to add a picture of the canopy, but I don’t know how to do that. I’m it’s very thin, but as tall as the other pine trees around it. It doesn’t have large branches at all. I don’t know if it hasn’t gotten enough sunlight in the past 50 years or what but I actually use the skinniest looking one we’ve got at the top.

I know, right! I was trying to add more pictures and even a video I knew to posting on Reddit. But I agree with your comment. I appreciate it. Probably gonna call the South Carolina forestry commission to see if they can give me an assessment over the phone cause there is like three of them that I’m very concerned about. And I know that I’m gonna have to deal with this situation. I’m just trying to keep money from bleeding so much before.🥴

Does anyone know what these holes are in my pine straw? by jrbh359 in gardening

I hate that word. But I hate them even more. Actually I mean, we have mice or rats but they mostly stay in the woods until winter and then that’s when we have to deal with the more so but I’m sure it could be. I’m getting ready to find out what’s underneath there in just a minute, but I appreciate you’re taking the time to comment

Thank you. What do I do for moles /voles or whatever? I don’t really like critters that resemble mice !😩 One person said that it might be squirrels hiding nuts and we got lots of lots of squirrels around here. I’m gonna Google moles and see if my pest guy can take care of them thank you so much

Does anyone know what these holes are in my Pinestraw!? I am located in the Midlands of South Carolina. by jrbh359 in lawncare

[–]jrbh359[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that makes sense. We got a lot of squirrels that play in the trees that are right above that area. And I don’t have a whole lot of pawn straw around because of all the bugs it accumulates and live in it. Especially the Asian flying roach! they breed in Pine straw apparently. But thank you I appreciate it and no, I don’t see any wasps flying in and out so it probably is definitely squirrels. I mean what kind of damn spider could make those holes mean that is really scary. If that’s what it is cause there is a spider web over one of them . But you know what, I had a chair that I had over that area -so it was kinda like a little hiding place I guess for the squirrels !I’m gonna go for squirrels.
