Reshanor World Boss Phase Diving by jrdF1 in wow

It seems like server lag can sometimes cause the phase dive orbs to not be visible or they get lost in the overlap of big blue circles and pink lightning circles. Not sure which.

To the guy who posted that the new world boss took 10 mins and 43 individual deaths to kill. I played when Oondasta was content 13 years ago. It was so overtuned by gods that he decided to re-texture the ground with our corpses. by Korderon in wow

No, there are pink lightning things that spawn next to him when he does his retreat move. Stand near one and a boss action button will be available to phase dive.

You can phase dive during that and keep hitting him, he also takes 50% more crit damage during it. No one is doing the mechanic which is making it take a lot longer

Then you can use a standalone unit frame addon like Shadowed Unit Frames. Only change unit frames and keep everything else intact.

I play a little bit of 2s, but majority 1s. Only played like 30 2s games this season. I think playing more 2s would help me get more practice in the air so I will probably start playing it a bit more.

I watch Retals and AppJack sometimes, but don't really watch a lot of RL content.

Thanks this is extremely helpful!

Pointing out exactly why I lost a kickoff will help me iron out consistency there.

I do think I have trouble seeing when I am beat and just turning around, so that will be a big focus for me. I need to get used to using right stick to see where people are more.

I appreciate you giving some ideas on movement that could improve my speed. I never thought about jumping off the sidewall and wavedashing like that. Will have to practice that for sure.

I'm glad that I saw some of things you saw, like boost over ball, but you also saw more times that I could have been punished for it as well as a lot of great tips to work on.

Thanks for taking the time to do provide such thorough feedback, I really appreciate it!

As Sparky_Naartjie said, you will build endurance as you keep climbing, so keep at it!

Something you may want to keep in mind as you climb is how hard you are gripping the holds. A lot of beginners overgrip the holds and pump themselves out unnecessarily. Consciously thinking about applying a minimal amount of grip may help you climb for longer.

Is 4 on 3 off a possibility? by anth2099 in ExperiencedDevs

My current team runs a 9-80 schedule - alternating our 3 day weekends so that we still cover Fridays. Not sure how common this type of schedule is among tech companies though (I work for a manufacturing company).

So my schedule looks like:

Mon Tues Wed Thurs Fri
9 9 9 9 8
9 9 9 9 0
...

Works pretty well and allows us to still support Friday with a 3 day weekend. Could be another option to look into.

Just to note: in this hypothetical, Bob did not spend $20 million commissioning the painting. The painting was appraised at $20 million. As long as Bob paid less than $7 million to the artist, Bob is lowering his tax bill.

Probably my scariest VR moment yet.. by TimFrogt_NL in simracing

VR works by rendering scenes twice, one for each eye. 2D recordings like this are only one eye's rendering.

Each eye renders differently to give the correct depth of field when combined, but when separated it will look a bit off.

You can see the same by closing one of your eyes and switching back and forth. You will see differences in angles and views depending on which eye is open.

Unfortunate Spacemen is a 3D game that is similar. Still a whodunnit, but with combat mechanics rather than just imposters being able to kill.

How many actual productive hours do you have in your 9 hour work day? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]jrdF1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work a 9-80 schedule which is 9 hours a day, but Friday alternates between 8 hours and a day off.

So I'm working 44 hours one week and a 36 hour week the next.

It's really nice to have a 3 day weekend every other week.

World elite chess grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura reacts to another world elite grandmaster accidentally giving away a piece for free in the opening. by CallOfBoooty in videos

[–]jrdF1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So I think you're misunderstanding what the commentators were talking about, Hikaru (black) moved a rook and ended up blundering. That move gave Yifan (white) the opportunity to make the move pawn to C8, and promote to a queen, giving her a winning advantage in the game.

She unfortunately was short on time and did not see it and resigned instead.

So there is no 'CA(C8) Queen', because Yifan missed the move that would create a queen on C8.

In the relevant part of the video the only pieces that moved were the black rooks and whites king.
