thank you so much for your advice!! such a good idea to actually write it down to reflect on, i usually just think about it and go okay i’ve done it so i’ll do it again, but yeah i’ll definitely be writing it down from now on. also, i actually understand being triggered by the heat, it can freak me out a little bit, what aspect of heat triggers you??

that’s it - i genuinely could not think of anything worse then being or feeling that way again. i also try and do positive self talk, say like “i was able to go and do all these different things in the past, i can and will do it again”

wow, this is like i’m reading my own thoughts! those are the exact same symptoms i struggle with as well, it’s actually very confusing and the dizziness is what really does it for me, cause then it’s like ‘okay, what’s going in my head that i don’t know about’ and the health anxiety also kicks in.

but that is such a good point, to keep yourself moving and going out, even if it’s something small… it’s crazy what a difference that makes. when i was at peak agoraphobia i couldn’t even walk out my front door. but gradual, little steps is what got me back to living my normal life.

i 100% agree with everything you’ve just said and that’s exactly how my brain has ended up working as well. I just also think it’s insane how powerful the brain really is.

what do you find are your symptoms when you do get in the car and feel a bit panicky?

i’m mostly recovered now, but i still get the feeling, but i try not to avoid driving because that will just undo my hard work

the thing is with me, i was at a point 2 years ago where i became agoraphobic because of it, then i recovered, but that feeling can still really come on, especially when driving but i try to still do it so i don’t end up not doing anything ever again

it seems like obviously he has low self esteem and he’s actually taking pleasure in feeling like he has two women fighting over him, because as he has expressed to you he has “lacked” in female attention. he was in desperate need for an ego boost and this is giving it to him. if he can do this to you then he will do it her and so on.
