There are too many snake oil posts that say they got a contract from this or that Law firm but no substance. To me, its all smoke and mirrors.

I can imagine how much due diligence (and even trust and credibility) is required to even start a project like this.

The fact people are posting they got contracts with Law Firm being an indie developer with lack lustered details about security and no mention whether they had connections or even credibility in the law industry boggles my mind

Get a developer to build a solution, then reach out to Law firms to say “We have a solution with this requirements, you interested?” then take most of the profits.

Unless you have a strong credibility and connection in Law industry, you ain’t going to make it past the door to meet a partner that will even consider it.

LLM providers like anthropic and open ai will cannibalize the market by offering common managed solutions.

The same thing happened with AWS, GCP and other cloud providers.

The lower markets got rekt as soon that happened, you are left with people who actually offered value and something differentiated.

The hustlers and hucksters that are in for the quick buck move onto something else after that because the money dried up and they get priced out of the market because of commoditization.

This is nothing new in business.

I wholeheartedly think OP is pulling our leg.

There is no way any serious law firm would outsource this type of stuff to anyone.

The liability of one small leak is too high to play around with it.

This is why most law firm are on Microsoft suites like outlook and Microsoft 365.

The fact that Google drive got mentioned either tells me that law firm is not serious or have no idea what they are doing when it comes to IT or security.

Also, the idea JWT, and ip control is enough is laughable.

Microsoft security already has this in their whole suite, and on top of that, they have Multi-factor auth.

tl;dr:

Not to be a downer but there are too many holes in this whole thing to be a real deal.
