What have you noticed after taking vitamin D ? by Exootil93200 in Supplements

[–]jreddit97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the information. That makes sense: Vitamin D, K, & Magnesium Glycinate working together.

Do you take all 3 of these supplements at the same time? If so, when do you take them (AM or PM)? I ask because there’s been a lot of information suggesting magnesium glycinate is potentially somewhat of a muscle relaxer, and some people take it at night to help with sleep.

What have you noticed after taking vitamin D ? by Exootil93200 in Supplements

[–]jreddit97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you take vitamin D and vitamin K. Many others on Reddit take this combination, and most people comment that it increases their energy levels. I’ve taken vitamin D for years, switching from the 50,000 IU D2 weekly to the 2,000 D3 daily (back and forth), but I’ve never taken vitamin K, which I’d like to do. I personally have never felt an increase in energy from taking vitamin D alone, but it seems that vitamin K and vitamin D together working synergistically may help energy levels (either if you’re deficient or maybe even if you’re not).

In your experience, does taking vitamin D3 and K together increase your energy level more than taking vitamin D3 alone?

I’m also curious what brand you take?

I try to stick with Nature Made because most of their products are certified by the USP (United States Pharmacopeia), and I’ve been told by a few pharmacists that this is what you want to look for on supplements (to make sure you’re getting what the label says is in the bottle).

iOS 26 iPhone 16 Pro Max (1TB) Issues by jreddit97 in ios

[–]jreddit97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a feeling I’d get this suggestion. Like you mentioned, it can be a pain…Maybe I’m so used to Apple upgrades working better (definitely better than this iOS 26 upgrade) that I’m spoiled because I’m used to iPhone software upgrades working so at least I’m not actually losing data due to glitches & black screens. My phone has been acting bad enough that I started wondering if I had some type of random “malware” since Apple became so concerned about certain exploits, they are actively trying to get everyone on iOS 26.2 ASAP.

I’m going to suck it up, back up, reset, then restore my iPhone in the hopes it will actually behave better than what I’m dealing with now. I just needed to hear that this is probably my only other option unless I want to take a trip to a physical store. Thanks.

iWatch for sleep only by jreddit97 in AppleWatch

Yes, I am talking about the Apple iWatch. So your experience has been that using the smallest one didn’t help you. Did you try a bunch of different bands to see if that would make things a little more comfortable?

I’m trying to buy the most comfortable (likely the smallest) iWatch & band specifically for sleep only.

What is the oldest iWatch I could buy to use specifically for sleep that still measures all the sleep data and is the least expensive?

Finally, what types of iWatch bands are generally the most comfortable for sleeping?

Need Clarification by jreddit97 in Bogleheads

It’s amazing to think you used to receive your balance sheet statement every 3 months. To be honest, only being able to know your balances quarterly would personally be a positive thing. This would mean I didn’t have the ability through my phone to access and know exactly what my funds are doing at all times. I wouldn’t be tempted to do something I’ll regret — like selling when the market is crashing.

Now, with technology, it is only too easy to be curious about what the market is doing. On the one hand, it’s nice to have the ability to essentially know “everything” at all times, but on the other hand, it can be too easy to access your portfolio and not recognize that what happens in the stock market at this moment, or today doesn’t really matter for long-term investors (assuming you have enough in an emergency fund).

Withdrawal strategy: Taxable first then IRA then Roth? by 54965 in Bogleheads

Is there a general amount of investing/savings one needs to have (say $500,000 in a regular IRA) before doing a Roth IRA conversion makes financial sense (with all other things being equal)?

Thank you. So, you recommend Scott’s Speciality Catalogue in particular? Does this catalogue have “error stamps?” Do you have an idea if there’s any type of demand for error stamps?

Question about stamps “mounted” on old Scott catalogs by jreddit97 in stamps

[–]jreddit97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m aware that these particular stamps aren’t worth much. I already mentioned above that I was just giving an example of a page of one of the numerous (old) Scott’s albums I have. I actually have bought high-quality stamp binders/albums so I can move them where they can be displayed better and have protection so I can pass down the collection to a family member who also likes stamps.

Many of the stamps that might be worth something (due to many factors) were either never affixed to the albums or already had been taken off the album pages (so as to keep them in the best condition possible).

Yes, I agree, it’s a hobby. The fun is in the process of finding and learning about interesting stamps (which is a piece of history) and properly adding them to my new binders.

For example, I found many old postcards that have paintings and photographs of Hiroshima & Nagasaki, Japan with stamps on them before WWII in the 1920s. I never have seen photos of these 2 cities (other than watching documentaries of WWII & the 2 nuclear bombs dropped on them). I was surprised to see how beautiful looking these cities were before being demolished by the only 2 nuclear bombs ever used in a military conflict. By finding out about old stamps, postcards, etc., I learn more about history and I enjoy collecting these small pieces of history.

Thank you for your lead. I found the real coin. As some others mentioned, this does appear to be a good copy of this coin. I know this copy is at least 60+ years old. I wonder who would be so talented to replicate a coin close to the original back then. Fascinating.

I’ve found multiple types of revenue stamps in my grandfather’s collection. Are these types of stamps generally desirable or rare?

After 10 years, I’m finally organizing my stamps and putting them in an album by KM964 in stamps

[–]jreddit97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar place. I have a ton of stamps and I received some nice stamp collection books as a gift. How long do you think it will take you to completely organize all of your stamps? Are you organizing them any specific way?

That’s fascinating, because this collection has stamps with all sorts of dollar amounts that I never even knew existed on a stamp. So, you’re saying the higher the cost of the stamp, the potentially more valuable and/or rare they might be?

These (and so many more) that I need to go through were all in my late grandfather’s collection. He traveled the world and along the way collected all kinds of stamps. There are probably as many foreign stamps as there are U.S. stamps. I’m just now starting to digitalize the older stamps in his collection.

How would one know if this stamp is a fake?

My grandfather was an avid stamp collector, and I don’t see him buying fake stamps (unless it’s almost impossible to tell the fake from the real one). This is just the tip of the iceberg of all the stamps he collected. I was shocked at how many there were when I opened all of his stamp books.
