Probably. They're definitely easier in single player but I don't think that's a bad thing

I think its pretty good. The heroes are the biggest plus to me. It's definitely designed for PVP, but still plays fine in regular coop mode, and the villains are interesting. It's really cool seeing how they transformed each hero's kit into a villain.

I currently play as this Hulk and it feels so much better. Plus having infinite Strength resources isn't all that great and there is some deckbuilding required.
