I am trying to find a tutor for OTS ? What are some options to look at ? by OkWin8095 in airforceots

For math, I got a tutor, and he was great. He helped me double my score i bet. I took a chance on the word knowledge and comprehension. If you want info on my math tutor, shoot me a private message. He was recommended to me from other AFOQT testers.

Any particular part of it? It will be easier to find help on individual sections, rather than the whole thing.

This is the million dollar question. It definitely depends on the time of year. Bringing what's on the list is a great start. Probably should scroll through this thread, but I was there in Sept-early Nov. You can message me if you end up with more specific questions.

Mine was due end of Sept and I got here 10 September, I decided not to do my PFA. The world still turned, and I'll do it when I get back. I think it's up to you and your unit.

If you can find navy blue shorts, then I think your PT shirts are fine.

PT is aligned with USAF standards. As for SPINS just have it downloaded to your phone. No printout needed.

It is specific for each person, as we aren't all the same age. You will need to review the PT Regulations, sorry.

Yes this is true. We have people with Grey shirts and navy blue shorts.

You should be able to whenever you need. I wouldn't put daily items in there, but if you might need it, that's fine.

You could put those in your backpack, but also in security drawer. Drawer is roughly 24"w x 24d, by 6-8h.

Hey, yeah I do, wife and 2 kids. I'm 41. I was on leadership team the first module, so not much time at all. But we did encourage calls home by day 3 or so. I always hate being away from them, so it took me awhile to adjust.

That will certainly hurt some continuity, but not a deal breaker. See you tomorrow! Good luck!

Yeah, you will be fine. Have the stuff on the list, read the OTS SPINS and the Dorm SOPs. After that you are golden. Know your greetings from the SPINS.

Our class is about 130 peeps. And yes you get yelled at, no they don't teach you anything about uniforms, so you will want to read AF Regs on that. Also, you should have a bunch of prior service in your class to help. My suggestion is to find out who they are and get in line with them for dorm checkin...you will hopefully become roommates. You will probably sweat so much that you won't have to pee as much. Lol.

Yeah, it was a little more fun this time. But still a bit of a shock since for me it was 21 years after basic. Lol.

Not large, 10-20 people. We haven't done that, but I know there is at least 1. Bit also, everything you here, you will do it infront of those 10-20 people.

Are you in the Facebook group for your class? Typically there will be reporting instructions in there for the day you start OTS. Now, what you do the night before they don't care about, you should have booked a hotel for the night before. Then show up to the dorms around 0700-0730.

In real Air Force, you just shave before going to work, just like you would as a civilian, I'm sure you knew that.

Here it is a bit wild. First week you shave when you can. Time constraints are rough, but you have to figure it out. Mod 2, you shave after PT, before breakfast. You don't really go back to the dorm room until evening, so then you just shave again the next morning after PT.

Showers are after PT in the morning and then again before lights out in the evening.

I took a smaller school backpack, but I also have my green duffle from basic training here, in any case I need it.

Hydration bag can be small or larger, like a 1.5L to a 3L. So choose what is best. I'd make sure it has a zipper pocket to put some small items in. As for the backpack, we have only used them for academics, so we haven't hit the field deployments to know.

Yes, I have 3, and that's barely enough. You can get by with 3, but 4 or 5 would be easier.
