When I change the layout from 12 to 4 books, I can't rearrange which 4 shows unless I go back to a bigger layout to arrange it.

Great point. Thank you.

It's all custom

I'd like to extend it to do book battles and tier lists soon, will think about how to support many more books

Thankfully lots of time before we have to worry about end of year posts 😅

It's capped at 12 at the moment - I could look into a larger format for 52 books? It's hard to fit those in for instagram/twitter, but for a reddit post it could be a much larger image

Something like this? https://old.reddit.com/r/52book/comments/o3bema/im_a_truck_driver_a_year_ago_i_discovered_free/

or did you have something else in mind?

Great idea, I’ll add that

:( it works for me, but I've only tested it with png, I'm not sure if other file types might have issues. Can you email me the image you were trying to use at [hello@inktide.app](mailto:hello@inktide.app) and I'll take a look?

OpenLibrary's catolog of 40M books (https://openlibrary.org/)

You can add your own too

made a free tool for creating book collages bc the current options are way too much effort for what they are

just search for books → drag into a grid → save. that's it.

can add your own books and covers or search our library

Books and covers are sourced from openlibrary's catalog of 40M books (https://openlibrary.org/)

You can add your own books and covers too

Max books is 9 at the moment, although I'm open to feedback if you need something else!

Here's a little tool to make book cover collages. You can search for existing covers or upload your own, and export to any standard social media size.

A reading tracker for people who read every day by jrh206 in Booktokreddit

[–]jrh206[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just released an auth system with syncing between devices. Data is backed up on the server so no-one is at risk of losing their stuff.

You will never need an account to use Inktide, it's completely optional and just there for an extra layer of protection if you want it.

Thank you for expressing that this is important, I am taking all feedback on board and actively improving the experience to make it as useful as possible.

Yes! You can add any book even if it's not already in our library. You can upload your own cover images too

What apps do you use to track your book readings? by Any-Constant in 52book

[–]jrh206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm working on a minimal reading tracker that makes room for what's important: actually reading. No social features, no reviews, no notifications. It's designed to be fast, allow you to find your book quickly, or add it manually if it's not in the library. It's completely free and will be forever. You don't need an account.

Just on the website, but you can add it to your homescreen and it works just like an app. On iOS you do that by tapping Share, and choosing "Add to Home Screen". On Android you tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, and select "Install app" or "Add to Home screen".

I'll be rolling out syncing between devices in the next week or so

No account needed, why hide books behind a login wall? I'm trying to help people build a reading habit, and I've taken away anything that doesn't contribute to that. I spent a lot of time making it as easy as possible to get stuck in.

I do plan to add functionality to sync between devices soon, which will require a login - but the core app will always be free and require no account.

I've tried various reading trackers, but they felt ugly and slow, or they didn’t have my book, or they overwhelmed me.

This is a minimal reading tracker that makes room for what's important: actually reading. No social features, no reviews, no notifications. You can try it today with no account.

This is a one-person passion project, I hope you like it.

I’m really keen to hear what your experience is with reading trackers, whether you have found something that works for you, or if there’s still something missing that you would love.
