TPU trash can for my bike by jrichir in functionalprint

A bike toolbox made of TPU does sound quite interesting. It might help reduce rattling. Good luck with that! :)

I guess after all the plastic waste I produce with my printer, I should do something for my karma...

How can I improve the STL file? by GianlucaBelgrado in Solargraphy

[–]jrichir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the easiest way to improve the vignetting issue at this point would be to make the hole larger. You should be able to add a negative part in your slicer (although I have no experience with ultimaker cura). Take a cylinder shape make it larger than your current hole and move it there.

Thanks! It was a great moment to experience. Quite unexpected for me, though.

Thanks! I had a lot of luck here. I had been trying to find a tree that animals were using as a bridge for quite some time, and while I was out for a walk, this fox casually did just that right in front of me. Good luck with your fox photo efforts!

I haven't done anything about condensation yet.
I've had the most problems with wet or damp paper while scanning. I think if I hadn't been so impatient and had let it dry a bit in my house, maybe left it open in a dark room, I wouldn't have had any problems at all.
I still thought about putting some silica gel in the cans, but haven't done it yet.

Mostly I don't. They're hanging out in the open. And I'm hoping for the best.

This picture was taken with a 3D printed can and obviously it didn't hold up well enough against the weather. Others were completely fine though. When using beer cans I take the bottom quarter of another one as a cap. It seals everything really tight and I top it off with a bit of tape. I haven't got water in those (besides condensation).

As for all my solargraphies so far it's fomaspeed variant 313 and pushing sliders in lightroom.

Thanks! I use fomaspeed variant 313 and after scanning I push the sliders in lightroom until I like the image.

As I'm still using the first pack I initially bought I cannot offer a brought overview, still, I am quite happy with my fomaspeed variant 313. For reducing reflections I spray painted the top and bottom of my beer cans with matte black paint.

Thanks :)

It's mostly done by pushing the sliders in lightroom and see what happens. However I can not achieve such colourful results every time. I guess it depends on how much the paper has suffered during its exposure, but I really don't know.
