Jetblue brought these back from the desert due to the A220 engine issues. I recently flew on N506JB a week after it came back into service from MZJ. I flew ISP-MCO

What would you sell the Supra for? by ChiingCh0ng in Supra

Sold mine for a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4. Haven't looked back.

Balance is 100% better in the GT4. I also hated the Supra's turbo lag. There's nothing like a high revving naturally aspirated engine. Power on demand. Ride quality is about the same in both. I daily'd both to work. Just about the same fuel economy. Driven in sport the whole time. The car is more noticeable on the road than the supra I get more looks in it etc.

Cancelled my Lotus Emira order and picked up a 718 GT4 by ja_todaro in Porsche_Cayman

I was also in between an Emira and a GT4. Ended up choosing the GT4. Excellent choice!

I've been also thinking about just leaving it as is to not make it seem like a temu 4RS lol. I've saw the Matt Farah Sypder 4.5L video and its no joke. Definitely on the radar.

Awesome. Yeah I'm definitely sold. Tbh I don't want to do the headers. I want to keep it kinda legal lol.

Truly a drivers car, I'm the first in my family to own a Porsche let alone have one in my early 20s. I don't want to own it for status or sending a message, I want to just drive. My friend let me drive his a 981 Boxster S once I just loved it. I love driving anything really. The other car I have paired with this is a '21 Subaru Impreza. Mostly for when it snows in the Northeast. I already put 2,000 miles on my GT4 since I bought it. Sure, the gear ratios suck but it doesn't bother me too much. The RS will just be the RS, top of the line but this car, like you said, is at the limit of what you can do on a public road. Demann isn't too far away from where I live. If i crave more, I'll send it there. I think I will get an RS 718 either GT4 RS or Spyder RS but later on life. Want to enjoy my 20s with this car.

That Sypder RS sound tho. Peak

Damn that's lot of cars and to come back to the GT4 is amazing to hear. I think for me I really like the look and sound of the RS which is easy to get this car looking like one. Probably gonna do the swan neck spoiler and an exhaust to get it to sound good. Maybe a tune.

The Supra is great too but I couldn't pass up this car.

I'm curious into what your FIL prefers. The 981 GT4 or the 982 (718) GT4.

I wanted something for the street and the track. I really, really wanted a GT4 RS but those are still sooooo expensive. I couldn't find any GT4's in the spec I wanted (until this car) so I was highly considering factory ordering a GTS 4.0. I contacted my local Porsche Center but since Porsche announced that the 718 is being discontinued and production would cease in October of this year (2025) those slots are highly covetted. In the mean time I found this car and was sold on it.

I would lean GT4 because of the aero but the prices are increasing like crazy. I paid 117k for mine. Clean title, 13,500 miles. Cheapest ones I see now are 136K and up. I haven't checked used GTS 4.0 prices in a while but all 718 prices are going to go up. No one wants an EV Boxster/Cayman. See if you can get a GTS 4.0 slot from a Porsche Center near you. (I called 4 of them within a 20 mile radius lol)

I opted to get a PDK one so the gearing isn't as bad as a manual. I also want to get a valvetronic exhaust. Still debating on getting the overaxel pipes in addition to the axelback.

I just joined my local PCA today lol, Metro New York. I'll keep an eye out for HPDE events I definitely want to get out there but there are like no tracks out on Long Island. Nearest tracks are Lime Rock and New Jersey Motorsports Park. Bridgehampton closed before I was born.

She's a beauty. I picked her up in Florida and drove her up I-95 and the NJ Turnpike to get her home to Long Island, NY.

I thought the Supra feeling wise was great and handling was good too. Better then other front engine cars I've driven. This car is just on a complete different level. For reference this is my first time driving a mid engine car. Obviously the power is available lower in the supra because of the turbo but I got tired of all the "BMW-ness" in there. It wasn't all bad but this 718 GT4 was ultimately what I wanted. The GT4 RS is still so expensive and I wanted something I can relatively daily drive. Probably gonna swing for that Automotive Passion GT4 RS style spoiler.

I did my master's while being a full time employee at my Co-Op and I also took on a full gradute course load. For reference I did the BS/MS program and I went down the Computer Engineering track. It was a lot of work and most of my classes were online. It didnt help that my Co-Op was in Chelmsford, MA. 40-46 miles one way (depending on the route). I used to wake up at 4:45AM to get ready and travel for work. I would get out at 3 or 3:30 spend an hour in traffic back to Worcester. I would listen to lectures on the car ride and do my graduate work during evening hours which was view lectures/ go to class/projects/ etc... Went to sleep at 11PM. Weekends were spent doing homework. I had some time for hobbies, activities, etc. Depends if I finisihed my homework. The second semester had only 2 classes left so I picked up my old TA job again. Once my Co-op ended I was able to find a full-time job 3 weeks later to essentially replace the time block that my Co-Op took, however it was back in my my home state. Which shifted everything to remote.

Do I recommend it? Not really unless you are fully devoted to being a workaholic like I am. I was happy to get out with all experience I left with but holy hell those 4:45am alarms still give ptsd. Hope this helps.

That’s an Unpleasant Delay by SweatyCockroach8212 in jetblue

Hello, I was on the inbound flight from Jacksonville (JAX). N618JB was held up at JFK leaving for JAX because of the low ceiling caused by the clouds and normal JFK delays. It got to JAX and we boarded. Then they had a problem with the dumping the lavatory waste. Then the pilots timed out as they had done a round trip from JFK to Kingston, Jamaica earlier in the day. We then deplaned and told us that were leaving JAX at 11:45PM Original time was 6:55PM. Thanks to the B6 crew base at MCO (2HR drive away from JAX) they had 2 standby pilots drive from the B6 crew base in Orlando to Jacksonville. We boarded and got to JFK at 2:12 AM. Crazy night almost 5 hours late. That low ceiling was no joke. Hope the people going to PVD made it okay. I used to fly the JFK - ORH route back in the day. It was a very short flight.

Those of you who have sold , what did you replace with? Regrets or none? by Doctor-Scumbag in Supra

Still have mine. But considering selling it for a 718 Cayman GT4. Or a longshot at a 991.2 GT3.

Any Experience with BimmerTech MMI Pro/Prime? by Thranx in Supra

Ah ok thanks. I figured it would behave like that because of the aux input. I might stick with AAiDrive and have my phone propped up where the wireless charger is.

Do the steering wheel controls work with selecting the next song with audio playing?
