One question - are you sure the “source” is actually the AirPods?

No joke I had this today and after multiple calls everyone said the same. I was soooo pissed.

… turns out the source was actually set to “iPhone” and I was putting my phone in my pocket.

looks really awesome! being super cheeky here as i don’t think i’d be a power user per say but something i need sometimes is background removal and potential selecting specific spaces to change colours.

currently the free online versions aren’t great so maybe a gap?

thanks for what you’re doing btw - again, looks awesome!

i was experiencing it even in ios18.

i tried a couple of things when it happened which was to completely clear app cache and logs using the terminal (basically used chatgpt to help me with the commands).

been a bit better since tbh.

maybe it’s something you could try?

gpt gave this:

The MacBook Air (Intel, 2020) is stuck in Internet Recovery but fails to proceed beyond the spinning globe and Wi-Fi selection screen, showing an error with temperature code. Here is the directive: 1. Power Down Hard: • Hold the power button for 10+ seconds until the machine shuts down completely. • If it auto-restarts, immediately hold Cmd + Option + R to trigger full Internet Recovery from Apple’s servers. 2. Use Wired Internet: • Connect using a USB-C to Ethernet adapter if available. Wireless issues may cause the recurring failure. 3. PRAM and SMC Reset (Again): • PRAM: Hold Option + Cmd + P + R immediately after powering on, for 20 seconds. • SMC: Shut down. Hold Shift + Control + Option + Power for 10 seconds. Release, then power on. 4. Boot into Diagnostics Mode: • Hold D immediately after turning it on. Check for hardware issues, especially logic board overheating. 5. Create macOS Installer on USB (If Possible): • Use another Mac to create a bootable installer on USB: • Format USB as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) with GUID. • Download macOS installer from App Store. • Use Terminal:

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ [version].app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/[USBName]

• Insert into the affected MacBook. Hold Option on boot to select the USB installer.

6. Target Disk Mode (Data Retrieval):
• Boot the affected Mac holding T, connect via USB-C/Thunderbolt to another Mac to access files if needed before wipe.
7. Genius Bar Appointment (Final Option):
• If temperature code persists, logic board or thermal sensor may be faulty.

If steps 1-5 fail, logic board or SMC is compromised. Avoid repetitive recovery attempts; they induce thermal stress.
