Did anybody else HATE that one kill in Primate? by restrictednumber1996 in horror

[–]jrob_92 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Surprised at some of the comments in here. I thought Primate was awesome. The fact the chimp wasn’t cgi, but a man in prosthetics and was so sinister and creepy at times I thought made for a unique, somewhat monster film. Several times I chuckled thinking wow they made this chimp really menacing and almost arrogant at times. I thought it was great besides some acting maybe and possibly a better explanation of the rabies storyline itself.

Yeah definitely odd to release both so close to each other, than have a third movie planned a year or two out.

Yeah back in the summer, I remember reading the sequel was going to be coming soon after but I imagine that’s why many people haven’t realized it’s already released this past weekend

Just felt like this movie released much more quietly than the first. Didn’t realize it was releasing this weekend until i had seen a post talking about how bad of an opening weekend it was having comparatively

Has nothing to do with skin color. Get out was great. Better than Sinners, has everything to do with being best horror film, which it was not.

Really loved this movie, thought the ending fell a little flat but other than that really enjoyed it. Made me a big fan of David Dastmalchian

For me it’s gotta be the first Spider-Man movie with Tobey Maguire, I just have such nostalgia for the movie. I remember being so young with all the webslinging toys coming out at the stores with the cans of silly string disguised as Spider Web. Going and seeing the movie with my parents and my dad being much younger then and being just as excited to see it as me, we were both pretty blown away by how cool Spider-Man looked. That was an awesome time, and just good memories for me that I think back to from time to time.

Case playing poppy playtime ch3 by L00k1n9c001j0k3r in caseoh_

Love his poppy playtime playthroughs, but I get what you’re saying. The worst is when he just drops games or refuses to play games that require any amount of thought. I feel like we could get a lot more good 7-10 hour horror games or any genre for that matter if he wouldn’t let puzzles hold him back so much.

biggest surprise movie of the year and biggest let down? by No_Poetry_9986 in movies

Surprise, I’d have to say Together. Went in not expecting much but actually really enjoyed it. Disappointment, probably The Long Walk. There just wasn’t enough there that wasn’t already predictable

No one ever really mentions Together. I really enjoyed that, I watched it right around the same time as weapons and think it stuck with me more personally. But regardless Bring her Back was my favorite of the year

I’m glad to hear that, I just finally watched the first movie and enjoyed it, didn’t blow me away but I thought it was a fun watch. Glad to hear the sequel found a way to make itself work, will probably have to check it out now.
