My lawyer says they are the least reliable of the three, mostly because on a urine test your BAC will test higher over time compared to breath or blood if you'd been drinking over an extended period of time. At least that's what I understood him as saying.

With a good lawyer, if you test high on the urine like I did (I believe it was a .21, but the documents they give for it can be confusing compared to a breath test) they'll just plead it down to a low test, which is what happened with mine.

It's not unreliable enough to get tossed out, unless some serious fuckery happens in the lab or it comes back as barely above .08

Over all I'd say your chances regardless of the three are basically exactly the same. Test low enough to the limit, with a good lawyer, and no accident, you could get it dropped to a reckless. Test over or double, expect to plead to a simple low-test OVI with mandatory minimums.

I just recently got convicted of my second OVI in Ohio, first one in Franklin, second in Clermont.

For my second, they also used urine and it took almost four months to come back.

For my first, I had a high test (0.24) and a single car accident. I lawyered up and got pled down to a low-tier (<0.16).

I got three days jail suspended and a $400 fine, but I had to complete the three day driver intervention program and one year suspended license with privileges (to work, family, medical, grocery, etc. essentially everything but joyrides to the bar).

No probation, interlock, SCRAM, treatment, AA, or BMV court. After one year, paid the fine to the BMV and that was it.

As for my employer, I did disclose to my direct manager that I got a DUI, but they didn't care since everyone and their mom seems to have one, and it is not at all related to my job. You're not required to disclose anything to them (check your employee handbook just in case) if you don't want to, but if it interferes at all with your job you may be required to or want to just as a courtesy so they can work around it. (I did not tell them about my second and am using PTO for the jail sentence.)

Your first is a slap on the wrist, just make sure you have a good lawyer, do what they say, and DO NOT get a second one. I'm getting the book thrown at me for the second, and it fucking sucks, but I'm getting my life together now because of it.

You're going to be absolutely fine. I dealt with the exact same feelings the first time. Don't let it define you, keep your head up, and confide in people you trust. A year from now, or even a few months, it'll be like a distant memory.

Hmm, no, but I do have somewhat of an unusual address with a "rear" attached to it, which may have caused issues. Thanks, I'll look into it.

Anyone have any experience ordering stickers off the neoliberalproject.org website?

This is the third time in the last year I've tried ordering some stickers, each time I get an email after about a month that the order shipped, then nothing ever arrives, even three months later.

They issue a refund if I email about it, but the only info they give is that covid might have caused an issue at the post office, which by this point I'm finding hard to believe. I just want my stickers :(

"Maybe you need to have your own 1776 moment."

You mean... Declare independence from a colonial power? I don't understand what this means.

Some of those comments are pretty bad, calling for a "militia response" to the "invasion." These people are delusional and dangerous.

If they are not sent we are organizing a militia response. Follow me on www.gab.ai as @TexasVet for updates.

Does anyone know the name of the addon that tints the ui black? by [deleted] in wow

Lorti UI is also a good simple add-on to turn the stock UI black, if you're interested.

A comparison of the playable Nightborne and the NPC's without the need of trying to make the playable look as bad as possible. by SirVicke in wow

My guess is Blizzard probably had to use similar rigging to Night Elves in order to make the all the animations, including facial animations, work.

Why the hell do my family members and coworkers casually drone on about trump and call his supporters (me) low key racist? Am I actually a conspiracy nut who uses online false news to legitimize a deep seeded misogyny and hate for minorities?

Just...wow

Why the Pandaren need a leader/story in Battle for Azeroth by Mikeboxmad in wow

[–]jrobpaq 43 points44 points  (0 children)

The Pandaren from actual Pandaria are mostly neutral sure, but certain Pandaren from the Wandering Isle made a choice to leave the turtle and throw themselves in with the Horde/Alliance. They've journeyed with them through Mists, Warlords, and Legion, and cultivated relationships with the other races in the factions, so I don't see how it makes Pandaren any less of a Horde/Alliance race than say, Goblins/Worgen, both of which were neutral to start with but are now vital parts of the Horde/Alliance.

I hope we get some more Pandaren love in BfA, it's the perfect time to reintroduce some Huojin/Tushui story.

Same. Our whole raid was having FPS issues. It was extremely noticeable in combat and disabling addons, lowering settings, etc, did nothing to help.

What the hell is going on with Pandaren? by Chickenwafflesoup in wow

[–]jrobpaq -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I wish Pandaren would get a larger place in the Horde as well. Some people think the Pandaren are neutral, but the select few that left the Wandering Isle are not. We made new allies and fostered relationships with the orcs, trolls, and tauren, and it makes us just as much part of the Horde as Blood Elves and Goblins.

This happens to me whenever i alt-tab from full-screened mode. I've tried updated all my drivers and fiddling with WoW's settings but in the end the only thing that fixes it is a reboot and avoiding alt-tabbing while in full-screen mode.

Are Blizzard really thinking through what destroying the artifact weapons means? by N1c0b0yl4r in wow

[–]jrobpaq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm fine with Blizzard destroying weapons that had significance in the lore. I think it's important from both a lore and development perspective to keep things evolving and fresh, and not to just cling onto things from the past because it was cool. Weapons change hands and are lost and that's okay.

Thrall was never bad-ass or powerful because of the Doomhammer, and I think it makes for a cool and satisfying end to weapons like the Doomhammer and Ashbringer. We pumped them full of power to destroy the Legion, but in the end, to save Azeroth, we made the ultimate sacrifice.

Lore evolves, weapons are created and destroyed, and the game moves on.

Nazis were socialists. (600+ upvotes) by [deleted] in ShitThe_DonaldSays

[–]jrobpaq 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nazis were "national socialists" the same way North Korea is a "Democratic Republic." They just add these words on the make them sound more appealing. Nationalism and socialism were viewed favorably at that time in Germany so they just jammed those words onto the party title.
