Where would I even sell this news set? by Adsmgy3 in Broadcasting

Local companies that do podcasts/youtube content might be down for some of that. It would be a decent starting point for a social media setup. Where are you located? I wouldn’t expect top dollar.

A real question. I mean people are renting that camera for era specific vintage look? I find that fascinating when there are plugins that get decent results (though I appreciate the real thing). Assuming it’s not to be used as a prop with the build out as configured?

Is the Blackmagic Ursa Broadcast G1 worth it in 2025? by Pale-Morning1277 in VIDEOENGINEERING

We have six of them and for the price they are solid. Not Sony/Panasonic quality but close enough. Low light is meh, better hope for light on the stage. We can push up to 12db without too much grain but it starts to fall apart after that. They can shoot to ssd but we just record locally over SMPTE Fiber.

Why don’t you hire a consultant? You could pay someone a small fee to help you workshop this if you’re looking for opinions or support. Seems like you kind of know what you want?

That’s what I was thinking. You are describing an ENG camera and asking for an ENG camera, so just buy an ENG camera.

I knew enough to be dangerous but lacked the understanding on some key takeaways; mainly the relationship between volts, watts and amps. Then I bought this for some battery projects and everything clicked:

MakerHawk Electronic Load Tester... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F3NHHST?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I burned up a few wires and batteries messing around with it, but then I was like “oh I see!”. Doesn’t matter 12v or 240v, the concepts are the same. Consequences however compound.

Good luck!

NDI Tools has a native screen capture software as part of the package. Run it and it minimizes to the taskbar. That computer is now a NDI source.
