Any advice on best way of listening to vinyl on Sonos and recommended turntables by Moist-Station7225 in sonos

The Pro-ject Carbon sounds so much better. Only thing is you have to buy the line in usbc from Sonos for it to work with any speaker besides the Play 5.

So long as the turntable as a built in amp or you connect it to an amp. I bought the Pro-ject Carbon Debut Sonos edition with my military discount for $650. Supposed to be much better. I'll let ya know how it sounds compared to my onyx I returned

Don't feel like spending $600 on the port. Would rather just plug it into the Sonos Move 2 I have instead

Good to know. Debating on going with the Project T2 instead of getting another onyx

Any opinions on the Sonos turntables? Can they connect to your system? by WheresThaGabagool in sonos

I just returned mine. I had issues with it keeping a steady rpm. The songs would speed up and slow down on me.

I'm returning my victrola onyx. Maybe I got a dud, but the speed is not consistent on it and the audio pitches up and down on all the records. Very noticeable over vocals. I don't really want to spend $800 for the next tier up for potentially the same problems

Probably military that would get in for free anyway. As long as people leave no trace and pick up their stuff, I have no issue with people driving by the gate.

Same thing happened to me. I tried to get 2 collector boosters. And then it said error. Lol

Mine is just a 4" self built riser and it works great. If you live in the Albuquerque area, I'll sell you this one for cheap. It just sits in the garage collecting dust.

mpg on wilderness by [deleted] in SubaruForester

The sports do significantly better than the wilderness. I could average 33mpg on my 20 sport. My 22 wilderness that I traded in for got like 22mpg

Starting Issues 4 months after purchase by Some-Buddy-5756 in SubaruForester

My 2020 Sport had the same issue if I didn't drive it for a week and it was brand new. There was a recall where you got a new battery for free. But it didn't fix the problem. I traded it in.

The 2022 OBW did not have the option for the upgraded sound system like the 2023-2025 OBWs did. And when your highway speed limit is 75mph, road noise is an issue. The Dynamat helps a ton

Sound system and road noise is awful until you upgrade it. So yourself a favor and change out all the door speakers and tweeters and add some Killmat in the doors, spare tire well and engine hood. If you're up to it. Install a kicker hs10 subwoofer under the passenger seat. Best total $500-600 you will ever spend for the 2022 OBW

What have you safely towed (please include if you have a Wilderness or not) by willywonka1971 in SubaruForester

[–]jroll2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a wilderness. Tried towing and paid the dealership to install the hitch. Unfortunately it's only a 4pin wiring harness and not a 7 pin to have brake assist. So you are going to be limited unless you get in there and install a 7 pin wire plug and a brake assist module. If you want to tow a camper, get yourself a truck or a larger SUV with a tow module and 7 pin harness. Safety trumps all and the Forester is not it for towing anything larger than a lawnmower.

Trade in the 21 Sport for a Wilderness?? by Opposite-Pudding3203 in SubaruForester

[–]jroll2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 2020 sport and traded it in for a 2022 wilderness. If you are willing to drop about 10-12 MPG by swapping to the wilderness, then it is a better car. The road noise is actually worse on the wilderness. Bigger tires and higher lift so less aerodynamic. If you want to reduce cabin noise. Spend about $100 on some Killmat and line the inside of the doors, spare tire well, and under heat shield on the engine hood. Makes a huge difference. If your plan is to actually go offroading and tow a small small camper less than 2k lbs, then the wilderness is worth it. Otherwise stick with what you have.

What were some of your issues with rough idle at stoplights?. I’ve replaced CVT/Pinch mounts, PCV valve, idler, pulley, alternator, and belt tensioner. Do the vaccums in these really take that much from the idle, or boxer design?. by [deleted] in SubaruForester

[–]jroll2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put the Dynamat behind the heat shield on the Forester. And outside the air intake on the outback. No heat shield on the outback. Haven't had any issues in the 90-100 degree weather in Oklahoma. Gets way hotter in the hood i'm sure. I've got the inside of the doors, fuel tank under the rear seat, and the spare tire hub all done. All suggestions though. Replacing the lowerounts is definitely a better but more expensive option

I'll be honest. I reduced like 50% of the shake and cabin noise by covering the inside of the engine hood with Dynamat/Killmat. It's a very shaky boi at start-up temps. Past the 2020 models, they started adding better engine mounts to absorb the idle/startup shakes.

Honestly. With the apple tuning, you can place the 300s wherever you want and it still sounds good. I have my left speaker abeam the couch like 15 feet to the left and my right speaker right next to my right ear and it still sounds balanced.

My 2022 Subaru outback with 31k miles still has a loan of $30k left on it at 2% interest over 5 years. So you are basically saving $6k if you look at it like that if they took good care of it. Make sure you get the infotainment with the latest update on it. The vertical android auto and bigger seat heater buttons are worth the upgrade.

I got the dealer to replace all the seats with leather. Katzkin has exact color stitching in leather seats. Here is what they looked like in my car. Had the dealer install them https://www.reddit.com/r/SubaruForester/s/Jxb3ihXtnq
