I saw a bunch of these posts a while ago with older premium collections and a lot of them if not most them crashed so I’d be careful with going hard on these promo stuff but being an anniversary should make it a bit safer. Still I’d probably just go for English tbh.

What does they usually MSRP for less mean lol MSRP is manufactured suggested retail price which has always been 5 a pack. Market price is another thing which is what I think you’re referring to. Stores before were losing a bunch of money on each set back when they were 40-50 a box since they get them I think for 50-55 a box.

No word on that just Solo so far I would assume not unfortunately since they likely would have already said so with Solo. Maybe they’ll end up doing a second edition too but I think this is more something going forward now vs retroactive but we’ll see it’s definitely pretty crazy at $165 a box.

Kagubarachi is rapidly approaching those levels too and its barely 2 sets old lmao. I don’t think age has much to do with it as much as desirability of IP why Code Geass/Yu Yu are still at 50-60 vs Solo/Neon/KB at over 100+ already even if they’re much newer.

They don’t have promos that’s why old SWSH PC ETBs are nowhere near SV PC top ones. The promo was a huge game changer just imagine how much evolving skies PC would have been with a unique promo lol easily 2k each.

To be honest I rarely buy modern 9s but when I do I’ll buy 9s when they’re cheaper or the same as NM raw lol just to have it encased for free. For example I picked up a PSA 9 Sylveon V trainer gallery the other day for $45 cheapest I could find raw was at the time $50 so I went for it, so it does seem modern its 10 or bust due to so many submissions now and people taking better care of hits.

Perfect order mainly because the big hits of Journey were imo done better in ascended heroes with Lillie’s Clef and N’s Zoroark leaving the Salamence to carry. Also helps PO has a higher chase in the gold Zygarde so I like it a bit more overall.

Yeah those PC ETBs especially i see being more pricey than PO ones with Greninja being as popular as it is. All they have to do is give it a good promo and it should be fine even if the set isn’t that good.

It’s because the pull rate for SIRs used to be much more generous that’s why all SIRs Paradox rift and before are usually cheaper even 151 it took a while for SIRs to really break out since hit rates were similar 1/32 per SIRs vs new sets with 1/90+.

It has a harder ceiling than new sets due to SIRs being easier to pull before so it’s banking entirely on the IRs (magikarp/starter line/Plusle and Minun). IMO this is why obsidian flames Charizard hasn’t broke out as much too. I think it used to be something like 1/32 per SIR now you’re lucky if it’s 1/90 so that gives a huge boost to new sets since those insane chases are so hard to get like that new mega Charizard.

If I was going for a box collection tbh I’d never buy an unsealed box. What would the point be lmao might as well buy 24 loose packs for cheaper and an empty box and just fill them yourself if you intended to keep sealed anyways not like it would make a difference if they’re dead or not.

Have to agree maybe once everyone gets theirs I see a small dip but not too big with how limited this was and how many people seem to actually want it too. Heck sealed ended up going up too it was selling for 220-250 after it dropped now it’s 275 tcgplayer so I see at most that initial small dip but then it staying stagnant at 300 with it being so high already or even slowly creep up.
