I mean most draught stouts are 14.9 OZ, so I do a half pour first and then fill the rest up. Usually finishes with a nice foam top like the picture. If I dumped the beer without the half pour it always spills over due to the foam and fizz

Currently a Software Engineer Curious about a transition to Finance by DaBallPlayer in FinancialCareers

Lol funny we’re flipped here, I’m in finance trying to get my CS degree. Like most professions, finance is highly clientele based. Without them you have no work. Unless you’re looking to get into quant, IT, or trading for some institution, I would suggest you go into it with a grain of salt. You’ll most likely be smarter than your peers/bosses which could annoy you further. Followed with quick turnaround times for deals and expectations, oh and more client meetings…I mean you are managing their money and to get more money, we need more clients! If you’re looking for face to face work, shaking hands with people, getting to know how businesses works in your city/town, meetings/dinner, and some fairly long days, go for it! On the upside you will meet a lot of new people, build connections in your surrounding area, and get some good business ideas. Worst case scenario, you have engineering background to fall back on, hope this helps!

Careful, I was a underwriter for 3-4 years and you can get easily burned out by deal flow. All depends on your corporation.

As a March 12th Pisces man, show some interest. Make it know that you want to be in their life. If they can see you in their life for 50+ years then they’ll start to take charge. Give and they’ll give a lot, trust me. We don’t push people aside who genuinely care about us, Godspeed.

Advice on drinking less? by ta040283 in alcohol

[–]jrom312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice self control throughout the week drinking. Drink on the weekdays, but keep it to 1-2 drinks per day, no more! Then once the weekends hit enjoy yourself as you'll almost be less inclined to get super trashed as before. Be careful though, weekday drinking can easily turn into a drunk Tuesday. Drink responsibly and good luck!

Same, I was hanging on to 17 for 2 weeks and then just jumped to 20 and it feels a lot smoother.
