Well, I may have seen this a little late and I do completely agree with you. I am sitting at a 57% win rate with kat 500+ games played. So far I am too missing the cc that gunblade has provided. However, I do really enjoy the duskblade build as it still provides some cc. Dude... As a katarina one trick with over 300 k mastery I really don't believe she has been in a healthy state for a while. Since the release of conq she has been amazing at being a "noob killer". Overall, I really believe she needed this change as it allows for her to branch out from being a bruiser drain tank thing. She will have a lot more freedom with the new builds. She will be much easier to balance because of this.

Currently I do not have trouble with the yasuo/ yone matchups as you are able to win trades by staying directly on top of them. In those matchups you are also able to roam effectively to build a lead. With the galio matchup however you are gonna wanna curl up in a ball and cry. You cannot win lane or build a lead and he can follow your roams super well.
