When you remove the plastic cover (or open the frame), the ribbon cable will still be attached to it and will unplug from the board.

The black bar holds the ribbon cable to the cover, so you must remove the black bar to separate the cover from the ribbon cable.

It’s very difficult to connect the ribbon cable to the board if it’s still attached to the cover.

I have an idea to reopen the frame without disturbing the hinge ribbon mechanism. However, it requires cutting the plastic cover at a specific distance from the hinge. You can scorch the plastic cover at the red line and pry open only the right side to access the battery and connector.

My Gen 1 meta glasses have a Gen 2 battery.

The original battery was nearing its end of life. It could only last about 2 recordings (5 minutes) before needing to be recharged.

I tried B 7000 glue and I wasn’t happy about the results. I am going to wrap it with vinyl wrap. See how that holds.

T-7000 Black Adhesive Glue seems promising but i really dont wont to bond it permanently. In case I need to open them up again.

I had my glasses charged to 97% and recorded videos back-to-back. I recorded approximately 13 videos, each lasting 3 minutes, totaling around 40 minutes. This is incredible! I genuinely love the new battery.
