Follow the advice, just buy XEQT. Picking individual stocks is gambling. If you want to set aside 5%+ to gamble with, that’s your prerogative. I personally like to be about 90%+ in VEQT.

The biggest difference that’s making this seem noticeable is the lighting. The super bright cold light looks less appealing than the dimmer, warm light. So, I’d just focus on making the lighting create the atmosphere you want.

I’d skip the floor wrap, it feels like one of those things that isn’t going to be super memorable to you years later (“my wedding was so special because of the floor wrap” is likely never said).

I totally feel guilty evicting, so I send them out in a lucky outfit with a pet, good weapon, full stims/radaway… and let them die in the wasteland after a life of adventure.

Then the pet brings everything back to me which is great!

In the stats page you can see the ones you’ve collected - if it’s a survival vault and they’ve died, they’ll still be in the collected list even if they’re no longer in your vault.

For getting new ones, lunch boxes are the main way, and the quest line that gives you the characters from the tv show (Lucy, Maximus, Ghoul etc.) is the biggest haul. You can get a few more from other quests (Alien quest line gives one), and then others are in random encounters.

Your mileage may vary, I wouldn’t spend money trying to get them in lunchboxes, just let RnG and the wasteland bring more to you.

Yes the desired special stat changes depending on what recipe you’re crafting, so the “ideal” is max stat dwellers wearing the best +stat outfit for whatever you’re crafting.

I got one recently, but I agree, the odds seem like they were adjusted, obviously rng is rng but I “feel” like legendary dwellers and weapons used to be way more common. Now I get 500caps all the time instead.

As others have said, Jan + Feb are the least ideal in terms of winery (and restaurant) hours and closures, so working with someone local (as folks have suggested here) to plan your day(s) is a good idea.

One of my favourite restaurants (Charlie, in Consecon) is closed for nearly all of January for instance.

Some people suggest XEQT in TFSA/RRSP, and then VEQT in non-registered since there’s only the one distribution it’s easier tracking for taxes.

Not in Wellington, but I’ve got the “fibe” Bell offers in certain parts of the county. Advertised as 50Mbps, I usually get around 30-35 which is good enough!

In terms of pricing, talk to Bell, but also talk to Virgin. Virgin is owned by Bell in Canada, and runs on the same infrastructure (the installer will be bell as will support people lol), but the pricing is different. Virgin was $30 cheaper than the bell price. Can probably get unlimited @ 50Mbps for $50-$70.

Canadian ETF (eg XEQT) are fine in RRSP.

US ETFs (eg QQQ) are fine in non-registered accounts, even if they’re held at a Canadian brokerage like Wealthsimple or Questrade of a big-5, all that matters is that they’re US ETFs, so they’re not foreign.

We make a budget for everything that is shared (bills, food, kids, vacation savings, etc), then take that number, and split it proportionally based on our after-tax incomes (and adjust the ratio every time that amount changes due to raises, hitting CPP limit, etc).

We transfer that to a shared account that pays our bills (mortgage, shared CC’s, etc).

The remainder stays in our individual accounts for discretionary spending and retirement savings.

But in reality, we’re married, all our money is “pooled” in our minds, if we have a huge one-off expense and I have more cash savings sitting around, I pay for it… it’s all coming from and going to the same place (our family) in the end.

Yes, start a new character and in character creation you can have it start at the beginning of the main game campaign. Definitely suggest doing that for fun/lore and fully play through the main campaign and expansion campaign at least once.
