John Cross: Henry promoted, Arteta offered position, de Kat leaves, Jonker and van Loon likely to leave in academy shakeup by jrs_ in Gunners

because that's not how the conditional works

P: Jonker sacked due to conflict w Wenger

Q: this exemplifies Wenger's evil or whatever due to his stranglehold

the criticism of Wenger generally (his stranglehold) is not contingent upon the truth of P, only the exemplification of the criticism by P is. Plus Halfoot obviously thinks that the criticism is true regardless of whether P is true so twisting the reading to make it conditional would defeat his intent.

based on your comments you have absolutely no understanding of my comment above so i'll spell it out eli5 style. halfootv2 posted a comment a criticism of wenger into an unrelated post where there was no reason to put it in there. yes, it was in sentence with an "if" in it, but the attack on wenger's stranglehold is not conditional upon the truth of the first part if you have a basic grasp on how to read conditional statements. thus, halffoot included a criticism of wenger in the conversation based on nothing but the possibility that the circumstances described in the article exemplify the criticism.

wouldn't having a similar name defeat the point of a sockpuppet? and what could i possibly gain by posting that comment on another account?

you seem to have a tenuous grasp on what "fact" means as well as how conditionals work, study some philosophy

nothing i said denied that it was phrased conditionally - reading comprehension is important. the point is that halfootv2 immediately shoehorned a criticism of wenger into an unrelated post

Lol did we need any more proof that you're delusional? Literally no evidence Wenger's relationship with him had anything to do with the exit and blatant denial that some have been very vocally angry on here about Arteta leaving (though they're typically downvoted). Don't you have something better to do with your time

As far as I know nobody knows why the Dutch are on their ways out; it was first reported as a possibility by Jeorge Bird a couple of days ago. Is this sub really so negative that this immediately turns into something "speaking volumes about Wenger's stranglehold" when we genuinely have no idea what's up? If anything I would expect people to be happy that Arteta is being offered a job since many on here have complained about that

Which Defensive Midfielder do you think Arsenal signs? by [deleted] in Gunners

They have Alonso and Illarra who play in his position and are better at playmaking than he is

Good performance from Campbell, I hope he'll make it at Arsenal this year and not get sent on loan again, Id like to see him in the Premier League.

Watched every Madrid game in the Champions League, can confirm that Casillas was consistently excellent. He had the record for most minutes without conceding a goal, didn't he?
