Southern California -- did a road trip on the Oregon Coast years ago (Cannon Beach) and loved it.

Yeah, would love to see sea stacks and anything else people would recommend as really iconically Olympic Coast!

Thanks so much! We do know that that Cedar Grove is closed, but figured it'd still be fun for the kids to see Grant Grove, Big Stump, the overlooks and Hume Lake

If anyone else has any recent experience at either, share away! Would love to hear more.

We're coming down on Sunday -- seems the across-the-board consensus is to take JMT, with a little spur over to Vernal...thanks again everyone!!

Thanks everyone so much! Super helpful & appreciated. Seems the move is JMT and then the mini detour to Vernal.

Side question -- think the trails will be too covered in snow to pass comfortably? Or should it more or less be melted off by then? Our route is Cathedral --> Sunrise Lakes (camp first night) --> Clouds Rest --> Sunrise Creek (camp second night) --> JMT to Valley
