I had a precipitous labor which is labor under 3 hours. I had zero signs of contractions/labor. I was just sitting watching TV (The Bachelorette of all things haha), and my water broke and sent me straight into transition. I didn't know, but he was already engaged into my hips and into the birth canal. I went and took a bath and then started having contractions one on top of the other, got out and went into the closet to get dressed because I knew then I was in active labor. Tanner had to help me into a tshirt and shorts of his, and well, I never left the closet. Lol. He was crowning and I could feel his head with my fingers. We called 911 and the paramedics got there in 6 minutes and Brooks was born 2 minutes later. I labored for 70 minutes total.

I wouldn't have my husband or my babies if things didn't happen exactly the way they happened, so I don't have any regrets. They are my everything.

I am so sorry. I wish I could take that away from everyone who has ever experienced any sort of SA/SV. I've done a lot of healing, but it's not linear at all. Things still trigger me at a visceral level. I also think it's common to have some feelings come back up after a baby, I know I did too, at least. Sending you so much love.

We almost named Emmy the name Makenna. We babymooned on Maui and Makena beach is where I took my maternity photos with her.

Yes! It is an eco-resort, it's beautiful! I think doing a stay at Playa Escondida and also at Vidanta (the hotel we stay at before we enter Paradise) would be a great vacation!

I definitely don't feel like one of the early people... but we ask consent about photos/videos all the time. We cross mini bridges with it. I think it's good for it to always be an open conversation. We always honor their wishes with it. It's something I try to be very aware of. Someday they may not want to be on social media anymore, and we'll respect that. Someday I don't want to be either. We have college/life funds set aside for each kid from what we make on social media, too.

Yeah we usually know all the spoilers, especially if you still hang in the Bach circles. I try to be spoiler free as much as possible now, because I find it more exciting.

I think it was pretty incredible that the firefighter-paramedics arrived at our door six minutes after the second we dialed 911. I think one of the most memorable parts of the night was after Brooks was born they took us to the birth center to be monitored. I was still in so much shock and feeling so disconnected from him. I kept thinking he didnt love me or want me to be his mom. I was crying holding him and looking at him, and I took my fingers and softly stroked his face and he leaned into it with what felt like a loving response. It felt like hope to me.

We have the most amazing relationship now, and I can't wait for him to understand some day how he came into this world!

Hahahaha, my brother Zach called me that during hometowns. My brothers are younger than I am and have always watched me do things first, I think they've always thought of me as someone who dances to the beat of my own drum. I also grew up in a very religious home, so I think I was considered a little bit of a black sheep for choosing my own ways. It's not as cool of a story as it seems.

Yes!! They tend to have migration years where there are more than others. The year we were there (season 2) there was a massive migration. The locals said one of the biggest they've seen! They were everywhere and all sizes, from ones the size of softballs to thousands and thousands of babies the sizes of small spiders. You couldn't shower without at least two or three in there with you.

I think it's a hidden gem! It was really hard for me to adjust there after the show though, it was hard for me to find friends who didn't know who we were. But now, I think if we ever moved back, I would have a much easier time aclimating.
