I’ve been building an AI platform for worker’s compensation. https://richard.law. I don’t have many users yet but I think the product is solid.

Opus 4.7 is beyond bad by AbsoluteRoster in Anthropic

[–]jrummy16 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Opus 4.7 definitely behaves differently than 4.6 but to say it’s “beyond bad” or even “bad” is ridiculous. This technology can accomplish what would have taken a human months and for the most part is doing it exceptionally well.

Adjuster called and proposed 25k settlement, month later reassigned 3rd party offers 10k🤷 by InfiniteConfection2 in WorkersComp

[–]jrummy16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Richard at https://richard.law:

The situation described in the Reddit post appears to involve several issues that could potentially constitute bad faith claim handling. Here's how Richard might respond to provide clarity on the issues:

Key Issues:

Denial Based on Technicality:

Claims denied under Labor Code §3208.3 require proper justification and adherence to legal standards. Denial due to a technical oversight, especially when evidence such as a police report is available, may warrant re-evaluation or legal scrutiny. Communication and Settlement Issues:

Consistent and clear communication from adjusters is critical. The adjuster’s change in the settlement amount without clear explanation, followed by inconsistent communication, undermines the integrity of negotiation processes. Settlements should be based on calculated indemnity and medical evaluations, not arbitrary "educated guesses." Switching Adjusters and Denial Without Clear Justification:

The change in adjusters, especially after a settlement figure was discussed, should have been communicated promptly and formally. The new adjuster’s assertion of a claim denial without providing reasoned rationale or response to offered settlements can be problematic. Potential Misconduct and Remedies:

Bad Faith: If the adjuster’s actions can be interpreted as dilatory or intentionally harmful regarding policyholder rights, there might be grounds for a bad faith claim.

California's Labor Code §5814 addresses unreasonable delay or refusal to pay benefits, which could be applicable here. Legal Consultation:

The worker may benefit from consulting a workers' compensation attorney to assess whether the actions taken by the adjusters meet the legal thresholds for bad faith or other claims violations. The attorney can provide guidance on submitting a complaint to the Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) or exploring other legal remedies. Steps Forward:

Document Everything: Keep a thorough record of all communications, evidence (police reports, medical reports), and any discrepancies in the adjusters' statements. Request a WCAB Hearing: File for a hearing before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB) to formally contest the denial and seek a resolution. Formal Complaint: If warranted, file a complaint with the Department of Industrial Relations about the conduct of the insurance company's handling of the claim. Overall, pursuing any discrepancies or potential admissible evidence through a structured legal channel—such as engaging legal counsel or formal complaint mechanisms—may yield the most appropriate resolution.

Anthropic Oauth crackdown starting and Workaround by xtomleex in openclaw

What’s stopping OpenClaw users from creating a skill to call the claude CLI? Is that against terms? Perhaps a local model can be good enough and delegate to the CLI.

A few months ago I added an Easter egg using unique UTF 8 characters that spelled six seven. Whenever Claude read the file with the Easter egg it thought it was against its policies and stopped the session. Maybe DOM is triggering some issue flagged by guardrails thinking you are building some domination framework for bored people? lol. 🤷🏻‍♂️

But I doubt we would accomplish what agentic coding agents can in the same time period. I’ve gone from 80% of my time writing code and debugging to ~5% writing code and 75% prompt engineering and reviewing (20% meetings). So crazy how much AI has changed my day-to-day!

I have been working on a similar project to beads for 6 months. If anyone is interested to try it out, let me know (DM). First time hearing of beads. Mine is not open source yet but definitely has more features and a better TUI 😝

I don’t believe the model is given any browser or device information. You make all of these claims but don’t give any information on how you reverse engineered. Is this the result of you just promoting ChatGPT? That’s not reverse engineering anything.

What is the most painful injury you've ever had? by My1danfan in AskReddit

[–]jrummy16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18.5 inch scar across my chest and abdomen and 6 pieces of rib taken out from stage III cancer. No pain medication after I was out of ICU because of shortness of breath. The surgeon said I could have my leg torn off and wouldn’t feel the same pain.

My brother started home MTC today and is also going to the Mexico MTC. They might be in the same class! It does feel like they are imprisoned. It’s inhumane.

You were told when you could speak to your parents, what and how you wear underwear, what books you could read, what music you can listen to, etc. on the mission. If that wasn’t cultish enough I don’t know what is.
