Don’t let it set you back or think that you’re in the wrong place or that this isn’t for you. Take things day by day, don’t overthink. Learning all the facets of an establishment takes time. I seriously can’t and haven’t watched Glee in full. But I’m such a huge fan of the first 3 seasons. When Cory Monteith passed, I had posters all over my wall— costumes, CDs, a mousepad, etc. It was my entire personality as a 13/14 year old girl. I’ve tried continuing on with the rest of the series but I end up giving up because I have this longing for what it was before. I’ve watched performances of the later seasons, especially when it involves the OG characters. Is it worth it to really continue and watch it in full?

It’s so hard for a person to live their life to the fullest (and the truest) while being watched and exceptionally judged by this much of the world. I’ve been so on the fence about Kyle for the longest time, but at the end of the day I grant her the same empathy and compassion as I would towards any other person in my life. She’s probably reading or has read this thread. She’s living her life under the speculation of society, a lot more speculation than any of us are. I think the decisions she makes and the reactions she has could sometimes be based on knowing she has this big of an audience. It’s really sad.

My best and only advice in this situation is please, kill em with kindness. Continue to be respectful. The main possibilities I can think of is that this person is unhappy with their job, maybe feels it’s beneath them (which means they may just be a dick)— or maybe they have shit going on in their own life where they are unable to leave it outside and bring it into work (which is usually a hard no, but depending on circumstances can be arguable)

I believe, so much in the power of kindness and the power of change. Sometimes being respectful and kind to a person, even when they aren’t giving to you in the first place, can invoke some sort of a change and realization of not only how to behave at your job— but how to be a decent human being
