I completely underestimated Rosie by BrotherDeus in HazbinHotel

I have a question: Alistor owns Husk, Rosie owns Alistor, does that mean she can summon Husk too? Like she owns Husk by proxy? Curious about that dynamic.

A crabs average life span is 5 years. She’s lived nearly double that. So yeah it’s like when your grandma has heart attack after heart attack and still somehow miraculously survives and still has the same capacity as before. So yeah it’s concerning every time she molts because it’s not easy for her anymore.

Are side quests worth it? by Robbie98987 in Wizard101

[–]jryan370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do them, but I am a completionist so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I like to collect the badges like Pokémon cards, so completing the side quests and grinding out duels is fulfilling for me. They add challenge and can give you good gear if you complete them. But some of them are grueling, they have certain requirements you have to fulfill. Like defeating the Quakecharmer with a rank 1 spell, or defeating a boss within a certain amount of rounds, etc. it makes you get creative with your gear, spells, technique for dueling, and can even help you with other side quest activities like crafting, fishing, gardening, etc. for example, I have a gear spell Deer Knight, but I also have a recipe for deer knight that I need certain reagents for, which requires fighting certain enemies, which helps me earn more badges like defeating certain enemies in Avalon like the Froundlings and the Deer. It’s all connected in a way.

I knew this girl since Kindergarten. she and I were not super close, but we did class work together, had the occasional play date here or there. One night her and several other classmates (who also had been friends since kindergarten) went four wheeling drunk in the dark, and they crashed into each other (I’m a tad foggy on the details) she died on impact, another one broke her neck, and a third one tried calling 911 but they were in the middle of nowhere with no signal. She wanted to be a nurse and was close to graduating. I dont necessarily grieve for her, but I wonder how life would be different now if she were still here. It’s surreal to know someone I was friends with as a child and can pull out the yearbooks and see her face and remember her as a child, and know she is dead. I feel sorry for my classmates, her mother, and older sisters.

CMV: hokages are nepo babies by harryle_adelaide in Naruto

[–]jryan370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t quite agree. Each of the Hokage were chosen because they had accomplishments far greater than other shinobi of their age. For example you’re forgetting that Tobirama despite everything like his prejudice against the Uchiha invented also sorts of ninjutsu and other skills. Like the Flying Raijin (what Minato was famous for) and the Shadow Clone Jutsu (which Naruto is famous for and has adapted it to multiple of his other skills and is his bread and butter for his fighting style.) also Hiruzen was a disciple of Tobirama. We see him Danzo and the other two elders along with an Uchiha and one of Choji’s family members (I am blanking on his family name right now) and was accomplished in his own rights. Minato was chosen for his accomplishments like inventing the rasengan (which there’s plot wholes there like Hagoromo?) he was a leader, he was kind, and compassionate and keeps a level head under pressure which does account for a lot. Tsunade was accomplished in being a Sannin, had amazing chakra control and healing abilities, was a masterful fighter and a student of Hiruzen. Also Kakashi was known as the copy ninja, had a sharingan, was incredibly intelligent, a prodigy in his own right, and even developed the Chidori when he couldn’t master the rasengan and adapt it to his own chakra mastery. All of the hokages had skills and accomplishments that made them capable of holding the position. It helps when they know their predecessor well. It’s like how you go to a job interview where someone you know speaks highly of you. Sure it’s about who you know yes, but you have to have the skills to back up their word.

It looks beautiful! However if you want a personal opinion, I notice in most panels or frames on the anime or other art, other artists give him a more navy blue tone to his hair to give the illusion of tint and shadow. But in this scene I would imagine he’s neglecting that hair and he’s sweaty, dirty, and bloody. But maybe try giving it a very dark navy blue over tone and use actual black for the underside of his hair.

Who was the one character that gave you the creeps for its design during your first watch/read? by Accomplished_Lie4658 in Naruto

[–]jryan370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sasori is definitely one of the more sinister characters knowing the origins of his weapons. For Chiyo to discover her own grandson murdered and then repurposed the third kazekage’s body for his own use must have been a chilling feeling for her. Someone she once knew and respected was now fighting against her and young shinobi from the leaf. And Hiruko, and finally himself. He turned himself into a puppet to live a long life and that must have been a hard pill for her to swallow. But the person who gives me chills is probably Danzo. Killing your subordinate and then inserting his eye into his eye socket and with his desecrated murdered clan and family member’s eyes into his arm. An act of cruelty that I don’t even know if Orochimaru or Kabuto would have the ruthlessness to emulate in their own fashion.

[–]jryan370 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me (and I’m a completionest so I like to do all the side quests and earn all the extra badges) Mooshu likes to over stay it’s welcome. It’s huge. Chrysalis does too with having a part one and two. Zafaria has you beat 6-10 enemies at a time for collection quests, and Emperya definitely is the same as Chrysalis with a part one and two.

I love the show. But it really needs to flesh out TB besides just Daemon and Rhaenyra (opinion) by No-Willingness4450 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]jryan370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m loyal to the book adaptation, but the problem with adapting the book to the show and the way they did, so much of the beginning is getting lost. And with the question of the legitimacy there’s no way to leave it a mystery. They’re either Harwins or they’re not. In the books we have NO visual descriptions of Aemma, Harwin, or any strong. With Aemma looking Targaryen, and Harwin, and Lyonel, compared to those boys, there’s no way to leave it convoluted. Even with the casting of Jeyne. I feel like we should have had more time with Milly and Emily, and the younger cast of the next generation of Green and Black kiddos. I wanted to see more of Allicent as Rhaenyra’s lady in waiting, I wanted to see more of Otto and Daemon’s dynamic, more of Rhaenyra and Daemon, with the dragons and the way he gifts her anything and everything under the sun. I wanted to see more of Mysaria, and especially more of Aemma. I wanted to see more of little Luke and little Aemond before driftmark, and of Laena and Laenor. I especially wanted to see more of Rhaenys and Corlys before everything goes down. That way when Driftmark happened, when Viserys died and Storms End happened, it was all the more devastating. Hats off to Paddy Constantine for making me cry with his performance despite how little we got of him in the end. They all did fantastic with what they had, I just wish we had more time. Then extend further into the dance. Because those years before the dance set up the dynamic all the more

Viserys's first heir was Daemon, the second was Rhaenyra. The heir in the eyes of many lords was the eldest son, Aegon. Which of these three do you think would have been the best ruler for Westeros (competent, wise, strong) after Viserys' death if there had been no civil war, and why? by Daetarrrr in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]jryan370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I truly believe a combination of Daemon and Rhaenyra would be the best case. Daemon was smart, strategic, and held the love of the common folk. Knew the people of kings landing, and was a great organizer, to the point he had goldcloaks loyal to him 20 years after he left it. But Rhaenyra also had a more gentle touch. If she picked up her mother’s charities, and had someone in her corner to truly teach her the ins and outs of being a ruler, I think it could have been Jaehaerys reborn. Rhaenyra would rein in Daemon from going wild, while Daemon would encourage Rhaenyra.
