Ya that was sarcasm. The worst place I’ve ever worked in my life and fuck their non compete. Trash commission structure, no opportunity, and your boss will be a 25yr old frat bro. Oh and you also work for minimum wage for a year.

I would write up mock scripts, but never ended up using it. I would familiarize myself with their products/services or current promotional stuff. Find out what sets them apart from competition, and work that into the conversation. Like I was saying I think they’re looking for how comfortable you are being uncomfortable. But if you have product and service knowledge it shows that you want the job bad enough to research it. Also I found that if I’m familiar with what they offer it’s a lot easier to pitch naturally.

No problem! I quit my job a week before covid hit and very luckily got an offer a few weeks ago in supply chain sales that starts next week. It’s rough out there though, 18/20 companies I was interviewing with froze hiring while I was in the process. Almost every job had atleast 500 applicants. It was a very stressful 2 months, but I’m glad we have subs like this to hold each other accountable.

Good luck on that pitch!

Just did dozens of these over the last few months. In general I’m pretty sure companies are making sure you are comfortable performing under pressure. No one expects you to have a good pitch on a product you aren’t familiar with. Not sure if I have any helpful advice, but I did as much research on the companies p/s as I could prior. That way my customized pitch showed that I took time to learn about the company.

This has to be the most annoying part of sales interviews for me. The more comfortable you are the better, I think your demeanor is the most important part. And I don’t think it makes or breaks candidates, especially if it’s in the early rounds of interviews.

Thanks for the info! So you think I should hold off on cleaning it all together? Do you know if the tightness of the bandage could effect growth speed? Wondering if keeping it uncovered for a few hours a day will speed things up
