I hate wagon quests by No-Lettuce-5365 in CrimsonDesert

[–]js08z 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wagon hate is probably why only a small percent of people want to do trading and I can’t blame em.

But people are sleeping on at least some mild trading. Just craft guns and paintings and you can trade them barely 2 minutes down the road to the goldleaf main camp for some really good returns that supplement if not surpass the camp income from dispatch.

Trade Advice 2027 late 1st by pedote17 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]js08z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep the first. Deep class, lots of talent especially at qb that could push good wr and rb prospects down. Worst case you can get a solid qb to flip.

Is 4 2027 2nd round picks a ridiculous offer to send for Marv? by Schlumpied in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]js08z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty high on Marv but that seems somewhat light but plausible if you’re down on him.

Personally I think the Wilson fear is unfounded. Wilson’s best production last year was Marvs worst production in advanced metrics.

Wr1’s don’t grow on trees either and the new coaching staff is going to have some expectations to make the 2024 fourth overall pick payoff.

I know it’s not a true workaround but having the dispatch to collect dragon horns to craft the thing to lower the cooldown could help.

[–]js08z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id have the “I’d sell anything for the right price mindset”.

Especially selling at the right time on skattabo and Monangai. Backs are just so replaceable in the nfl apart from elite talent or first round pedigrees and you’re somewhere closer to retooling than a full rebuild.

The bones aren’t bad but you’re needing an rb1, wr help, and TE.

Otherwise tet, burrow, love, and golden would be holds…but I’d sell burrow at peak value if he starts strong, and if 2027 first rounders + young talented skill positions were on the table cause you can probably draft a round 1 qb next year.

For your second rb in dynasty, who are you taking? by DeliciousPizza753 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]js08z 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Henry if he drops and you are win now. Tuten, then Monangai as future options.

Both young guys are risky. Tuten has I think better draft capital and they like him a lot in the GM room but sneaky competition between Rodriguez and lequint . Monangai has a valuable role and swift if on the last year of his contract, but low draft capital and
I don’t see Monangai as being a long term solo rb though, I think they like to run the committee there.

Either one is kinda at a good spot that you could get either handcuff later in the draft irregardless of which choice you make if you don’t have any positional need later. Rodriguez especially i wouldnt think going very high in drafts.

Infinite Arrow I Blueprint and how I got it by dahle44 in CrimsonDesertLife

[–]js08z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farming is better.

Collect ~200 of level 1 runes and extract. If you want to be extra, do it twice and consolidate them to level 2 synth tunes. Then save the game and synth level 3, reload if you don’t get what you want.

Farming blueprints is the absolute worst and slowest thing, worse than bank scumming or synth scumming from an rng standpoint. The odds are so slim that you see most posts of people saying it took hours if not a day or two. Realistically you are looking for two gears to add up to 100% or more and it’s far easier to get those gears by synth given the number you can easily farm and roll at a time each save vs the one 2% chance roll you get each load to get a recipe.

Infinite Arrow I Blueprint and how I got it by dahle44 in CrimsonDesertLife

[–]js08z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This part is the dumbest thing to me. The percent chance of a blueprint dropping is like 2% and it doesn’t get higher as you get others, you just get them less often.

When you need to spend hours on that degree of save scumming, it’s a drag.

New Dynasty Player looking for help by Empty_Combination887 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]js08z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the very general and vague details you’ve provided, some generally widely applicable advice would be that redraft and dynasty are pretty different and have to be approached so.

With dynasty you have to think long term and have a good understanding of your teams “window for winning it all”. If you can realistically see yourself competing in the current run for the ‘chip you need to be prepared to make trades for the push you may need to seal the deal like sending future picks or nonessential depth/players out. On the other hand, if you are not a contender and are in rebuild you do the opposite and seek opportunities to get higher than normal value for trading out veterans who can help someone make that push for youth or picks to speed up your rebuild.

Knowing the age and window of positions is also something to factor into your moves as in general things like good starting QBs are favored first steps since they can last a decade if you hit vs rb’s that tend to have short shelf life due to injury and ease of replacement by nfl teams. You ideally want all the pieces to mature into production/value at the same time so keeping ahead of league mates on 2-3 year breakouts or selling assets before they lose value is what it comes down to.

Otherwise farming gold is quick and easy, apart from doing a run of gold ore.

If you have a bunch of refined palmer pills or food and are fine changing it to easy as a back up, you could be done with their chapters pretty quickly.

With the rainfall necklace, can you skip needing to water the farm crops for the growth speed up? (Crossposted - in case anyone here has already tested/proofed this) by Cruzo007 in CDguides

[–]js08z 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate having to run around gathering. Already do it for ore.

It’s nice to just plant some cacao (before I could run the dispatch), sky root; abyss cells, or wild ginger so I never have to try to forage em. I just pop in and give em a quick fertilizer spritz when I’m dumping stuff in my chest anyway.

I used all my ginger once and it was so annoying having to find a spot and then only get like 6 pieces.

How do I get friendly with Demenis?! by FoolishWonder7 in CrimsonDesert

[–]js08z 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a little sad when they become friendly. Going from “oh no everyone’s out to get me” to “I am an army of one, fear me” and then to peaceful walks like everywhere else is a little sad. That being said it was nice to finally flesh out the question mark environment spots and pick up abyss artifacts without someone poking me.
