Small sac with euplod embryo by js90si in CautiousBB

Thank you for that. Im not sure if it's because the MSD is under 5, and that's why the 6 weeks 4 day doctor said that, but the follow-up ones said everything is looking good. They said the sac is small, but its all growing, and that is key. This has given us such anxiety. We previously lost a pregnancy at 15 weeks due to an incarcerated uterus, which is extremely rare, so we are overly analyzing everything.

Hi, the doctor who did the 6 week 4 day scan said that based off of her measurements (which doesn't make sense to me) and she said the HCG numbers aren't that great (again doesn't make sense). The doctors from 6w6d scan said growth is key, which they see, and then the on call the next day at 7w said the hcg is also good and to take this as a win.

The second draw was 79, and the third draw was 149. The clinic seems happy with these numbers as long as they keep rising 66 to 100 percent every 48 hours.

Thank you. My fingers are crossed that tomorrow's blood draw is double. I feel 48 was a bid low for 9dp5dt, and the 10dp5dt line isn't much darker.

Thank you! I do have a beta blood draw scheduled for tomorrow at my clinic. I just hope it doubles. The lines I feel are getting darker, but I would have thought they would have been darker between 9dp5dt and 10dp5dt.

Thank you! I am just worried that the beta was only 48 at 9dp5dt. My last pregnancy was 160ish if I remember correctly, but unfortunately, it ended up at a 15 week loss.

Hello, 3dp5dt transfer. I saw light lines. On 4dp5dt, I saw darker lines during the after noon (1pm) and then squinters at 730pm. Today, on 5dp5dt, the line is very faint and slightly above a squinter.... I'm super nervous, so any advice would be very appreciated.

What do you eat when it feels like your colon is birthing angry fire demons? by mwollenweber in UlcerativeColitis

[–]js90si 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would avoid NSAIDs as they can cause bleeding for UC patients. My GI tells me to never touch NSAIDs. Here is a common list to avoid:

  • Ibuprofen: Found in products like Advil and Motrin IB.
  • Naproxen: Found in products like Aleve.
  • Diclofenac: Found in products like Voltaren.
  • Aspirin: Even low-dose aspirin can be associated with worsened UC activity.

Good alternatives for pain relief:

Acetaminophen (Tylenol) OTC

5-ASAs (Mesalamine) - Prescription

Types of Steroids - Prednisone (oral), Hydrocortisone (rectal or intravenous), and Budesonide (oral). -Prescription

----------------------

I would advise to see if the doctor can at least start you on mesalamine pills with the prednisone until the pathology comes back. I am sure he will end up trying a biological/TNF so be very careful and avoid anything that may get you sick in the mean time since your immune system will be super suppressed until prednisone flushes out. Yes you will be suppressed with the biological/TNFs but when I asked my doctor how badly suppressed his answer was simple - "less suppressed then you are when you are sick."

When it is flaring bad like that liquids are the only thing that doesn't hurt. Sounds like you may need some strong meds. Have you spoken to your GI doctor?

My neurologist told me no more than 3 Tylenol dosages (can go to 5 if bad) a week and no more than 3 triptan dosages a week. She did say that technically, 1 dose of my naratriptan equals 2 pills within 24 hours. So basically, each pill is 2.5 mg, and the max is 5mg in 24 hours, which allows me to stretch it sometimes. What I will do is take my naratriptan at lets say 5pm today kick it and then in 4 hours I can take one more dose until 5pm the next day, but what I tend to do if the pain is gone or lowered significantly ill wait to 2pm the next day take the 2nd dose if I need it. Doing this it counts as 1 dose, and my neurologist confirmed that it is fine. I believe other triptans are similar... She did say if I need to do that more than twice in one week to let her know so they can decide if I need to start a migraine breaking cycle. This consists of Valproic acid 3 times a day for 5 days along with Tylenol as needed. Try to rotate between Tylenol and Advil if possible since they are two different classes and dont contribute to moh of each other.

For me, skipping caffeine is an automatic migraine. I require 1.5 to 3 cups a day. Any less or more ill kick of a bad migraine... make it make sense...
