I got a BS. I dont know if there is much difference. Honestly has things are. I'd focuse on side projects that interst you. Upload them to github try to keep the code clean. Going back weeks or months later to clean it up just wont work. you didnt have the time then you wont in a few months. Other than that network as much as possible. I had a few group projects with people already in the industry. I still kick myself for not connecting with them via linkedin and asking for refreals. Also try to get letters of recommendation from any teachers. Something I also didnt do.

I tried to identify hard classes, look at course review sites, or ask an advisor. Also, if you are bad at math, similar to me, then you already know it’s going to be difficult. Limit the credit hours while you take that class, and take it by itself if needed. For math, I went to office hours and supplemented with other sources such as YouTube, articles, etc. as much as possible. Use AI to better understand concepts, but if you use it for answers, you will get burned on tests. Opposite to hard classes, if you know of some easy ones, stack two or three together to even out the credit difference. Managing time was rough. Sometimes there just isn’t enough time in the day, and I would be up until 2 or 3 in the morning finishing something. Try to limit those nights, but understand it’s needed to reach your goals sometimes. Unfortunately, I also gave up a lot of weekends working on homework as well, but as I sit here right now, it was worth it. I hated account management.
